An interesting development has fueled speculation that WWE could bring back Braun Strowman, who was released from his contract last month.
As pointed out by Twitter user @wwecrave, WWE Shop has released two new pieces of Braun Strowman merchandise: A Muscle shirt and a tank top that both read "Monsters Are Real".
Now, there haven't been any recent reports to suggest that WWE might bring back Strowman. But this is certainly something interesting to keep an eye on. After all, it's not every day where you see WWE revealing new merchandise for a talent that's no longer with the company.
Of course, WWE brought back Samoa Joe for an NXT role in June, two months after he was released from his contract. And Zelina Vega, who was released in November, was re-signed and made her televised WWE return on the July 2 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
On June 2, WWE announced the releases of Strowman, Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett, Murphy and Lana. The talents are reportedly under 90-day non-compete clauses, but Black (who now performs as Malakai Black) debuted for AEW two weeks ago at Road Rager. Soon after, the company confirmed that he was now a member of AEW.

AEW was able to sign Black because WWE reportedly failed to update his non-compete clause from 30 days (the standard length for NXT talents) to 90 days following his move to the main roster.
Never Say Never On A Braun Strowman Return
As noted above, WWE brought back Samoa Joe and Vega. Last year, Drake Maverick is re-signed with WWE shortly after getting released as part of budget cuts. These are just a few examples of WWE going back on decisions that they clearly realized were wrong in the first place.
Strowman was one of the more popular superstars during his time in WWE. He spent considerable time in the main event scene, and it wouldn't be surprising if company officials opted to bring back the former Universal Champion down the road. Never say never.
