WWE has reportedly made a change to Edge's internal listing on the Raw roster.

On this week's episode of Raw , Finn Balor was introduced as the new Judgment Day member, seemingly joining group leader Edge along with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. But in a surprise, Priest, Ripley and Ballor all attacked The Rated-R Superstar and kicked him out of the stable. The fans booed the three heels for their attack on Edge, who has seemingly made a quick switch back to babyface.

Indeed, that's apparently WWE's plan. According a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the WWE Hall of Famer "has been officially moved to the babyface side of the Raw roster", which means that he'll be used as a babyface going forward.

Following his unforgettable in-ring return at the 2020 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, The Ultimate Opportunist portrayed a babyface character for the next two years. WWE decided to turn Edge back into a heel when he entered a WrestleMania program with fellow former WWE Champion AJ Styles.

Edge Judgement Day group

There was an Edge heel turn tease at the Fastlane 2021 pay-per-view, when he attacked both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan with a steel chair in their Universal Championship match. However, WWE continued to use The Rated-R Superstar as a babyface throughout the feud and for the remainder of 2021.

Needless to say, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Edge and his now-former Judgment Day allies from here on out. Will he start his own stable to fight back, or will it be Edge vs. The Judgment Day alone? We'll find out soon enough.

It Was The Right Time To Turn Edge Face Again

There are plenty of heels on the Raw roster, especially in the mid-card and tag team divisions. As such, it was a good time to turn Edge back into a babyface. There's a shortage of them on Raw, especially with Cody Rhodes set to miss time recovering from a torn pectoral muslce.
