WWE 2K23's roster is pretty massive, but it will continue to get bigger next week and throughout the summer as DLC packs gradually become available. Turns out the paid DLC that has already been announced won't be the only way in which the 2K23 roster grows. 2K has confirmed Mia Yim will be added for free via the next patch, and a developer has confirmed she won't be the last free addition.
More Free Superstars Coming To WWE 2K23
2K developer Bryan Williams spoke with The Pro Wrestling Shoot this week, revealing Yim will be the first of multiple free Superstars added to WWE 2K23. No suggestion as to who the rest of those Superstars will be, nor when players can expect them, but some datamining, logic, and guesswork has got some of you convinced of who we'll be seeing in the game soon.

Candice LeRae seems to be the top pick since dataminers have discovered assets for the Raw star in WWE 2K23's files. LeRae didn't make the cut for the launch roster, presumably because her status with the company was up in the air at the time. The former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion took time away from wrestling to have a baby, returning to WWE in September of last year.
Who's Next?
Since Yim was also absent from WWE when the 2K23 roster was being built but has now been confirmed to be a free addition in the near future, it makes sense that LeRae will follow in her virtual footsteps. Especially since Yim didn't return to WWE TV until November, two months after LeRae's comeback.
As for who else might be added to the game in the near future, there's also a belief among some fans that The Fiend and Uncle Howdy will become playable characters. Bray Wyatt hasn't been added to 2K23's roster yet, but he will be via some of the paid DLC still to come. Adding variations of his character for free may make things a little confusing as if players want to use The Fiend, they will presumably need to own the DLC pack in which Wyatt will be included.
