WWE has canceled plans for WrestleMania tickets to go on sale this morning. It claims plans for the two-night event are yet to be finalized.
There have been rumors circulating for the past week that even though WrestleMania is less than a month away, plans for the show are very much up in the air. That appears to be confirmed by an action taken by WWE this week. Tickets for the two-night event were supposed to go on sale at 10 am EST today (March 16, 2021). However, that will no longer be the case.
WWE mentioned the change-up during Raw and issued a short statement via WrestleMania's Twitter account. "WrestleMania on-sale will be moved as plans for the two-night event are still being finalized," the statement reads. WWE hasn't supplied more information beyond that other than it expects to have a new on-sale date within the next week.

That really doesn't leave much time for those tickets to be sold, and there will be a lot of them. Even though the event will be socially distanced, it has been reported WWE wants to try and get 45,000 fans into Raymond James Stadium each night. That could well make either night the biggest event in the US since lockdowns were first enforced this time last year.
The logistics of getting that done might well be proving more complicated than WWE had anticipated. As is the case with AEW and Daily's Place, tickets will be sold in groups or pods. According to Ticketmaster, pods can seat between one and six people, but there is a limit of eight tickets per person, which is confusing in itself. Making sure those tickets cannot be resold is another hurdle WWE has to try and move past.
Other than a brief period during which PC recruits were in attendance for shows, WWE hasn't had fans in its buildings for the past year. It may have even passed up on the opportunity to do that before now to make fans being welcomed back for WrestleMania an even bigger deal. It will want to get as many people in as it can while also making sure the event is safe, but time is running out.
