The legacy of ECW is still respected for Paul Heyman’s vision of taking wrestling into new territories. ECW realized that there was an audience out there who wanted an edgier side of wrestling with vulgar promos, violent matches, and generally more adult content. Heyman started signing more women to add more depth to the overall roster.

Heyman used them primarily as managers or love interests with the occasional matches. Two decades have gone by since the promotion ended. Find out what direction each name has taken since then with updates on what the women of ECW are doing today.
10 Tammy Sytch
The ups and downs of Tammy Sytch have led to her post-wrestling career falling apart. Sytch did well in ECW during her limited time there working with long-time boyfriend Chris Candido as part of the Triple Threat faction.

The prior WWE success as Sunny made her a big name with more star power than most in ECW. Sytch has taken a big hit through the years with various arrests relating to her driving under the influence multiple times. Recently in 2022, she was again arrested and this time for weapons possession and terroristic threats. There was a career pivot to the adult industry before Sytch was arrested.
9 Missy Hyatt
The legendary Missy Hyatt found success working for various promotions in the late ‘80s and ‘90s. ECW spotlighted Hyatt as a manager when partnering with The Sandman for a short run. Missy was one of the first women to make the valet position a pivotal one.
The ECW run didn’t last long as Hyatt ended up working for mostly independent promotions moving forward. Missy has been out of the performer role for years now, but she’s still active in the convention scene signing autographs and taking pictures. Social media is also a big influence on Hyatt’s involvement in wrestling often giving her opinions on the big topics.
8 Chastity
ECW fans will remember Chastity for her time working with Raven, the Impact Players, and the Blue World Order as a manager. WCW eventually signed Chasity away from the smaller promotion to manage The Sandman when he joined the company.
Chastity struggled to find success after the WCW run ended poorly. Unlike most others on the list, she left the wrestling business completely. The current life of Chastity sees her working as a regional account manager for an accounting firm for a more traditional career.
7 Jasmin St. Claire
The final year of ECW featured more talents getting a chance in the company with Paul Heyman looking for new stars. Jasmin St. Claire joined ECW with a background in the adult entertainment industry which added to her character at the time.
The real relationship between St. Claire and the Blue Meanie would see them working together as heels with weak results. St. Claire is still involved in acting with more traditional roles getting her in movies and on television shows. There are also the rare conventions where she still meets fans from ECW today.
6 Lita
One of the rare instances of Paul Heyman missing the boat on a future talent saw Lita playing the character of Miss Congeniality. Lita’s chances of success were slim to none in a terrible role as the girlfriend of Danny Doring.
The main purpose for Lita’s character was to get heat in the form of negative chants that would hopefully carry over to Doring and Roadkill. Lita became a legendary star for WWE and now is a popular Twitch streamer many years into her retirement. She also has returned to the WWE and is set to face Becky Lynch at the Elimination Chamber 2022 PPV.
5 Jazz
The ECW run of Jazz added something different than the other women in the company since she wrestled against men. Jazz did spend time managing the Impact Players with others, but it was the matches vs male competitors to show her in-ring skills.

4 Kimona Wanalaya
ECW utilized Kimona Wanalaya in the role of eye candy when Paul Heyman wanted risqué segments involving some of the women. Kimona was involved in a few wild storylines managing names like Raven, Shane Douglas, and Tommy Dreamer.
WCW eventually signed her away to have a role managing the Jung Dragons as her last major wrestling run. Kimona has stepped out of the public spotlight these days, but she is sometimes active at bigger conventions meeting fans from her wrestling years.
3 Francine
Francine is the top pick for the most important woman in ECW’s history when looking back at her long run. The role managing Shane Douglas put him over the top as the missing piece for his heel character. Tommy Dreamer and Justin Credible also benefited from having her at their side.
WWE did sign Francine in 2006 for the ECW brand relaunch, but the company did nothing of note with her before the release. Francine left the public eye for many years until recently resurfacing with a popular social media page and podcast discussing her career with successful results.
2 Beulah McGillicutty
The popularity of Beulah McGillicutty in ECW came when she was in a love triangle with Raven and Tommy Dreamer. Beulah’s backstory was that Dreamer broke her heart at summer camp and she ended up with Raven as the two looked to get revenge for his past actions.
An eventual face turn would see Dreamer and Beulah becoming a couple with tremendous results. The retirement of Beulah came towards the end of ECW when moving into other fields. Beulah became a successful children’s book author and now has a family with Dreamer after they became a real couple outside of the ring.
1 Dawn Marie
The last few years of ECW featured Dawn Marie becoming a breakout star. Dawn managing the Impact Players tag team helped her break out as a charismatic talent with a look that clearly connected with the ECW faithful.
WWE signed Marie after ECW went out of business and she had a successful stint there as a heel personality. Dawn eventually left the wrestling business to find a new career path as a nurse. The success in the role today sees her thriving as an essential worker and occasionally sharing tales of the job during the pandemic on social media.
