Ronda Rousey is finally back, and what a way to come back. Rousey was the 28th entrant, eliminating Nikki A.S.H, Brie Bella, Shotzi and finally her old nemesis Charlotte Flair to get the win in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Undoubtedly, Ronda Rousey made a huge impact in her return, but was she the right winner, or should another woman have won the Rumble? Below are a few reasons why The Baddest Woman On The Planet was a good Women's Royal Rumble 2022 winner, as well as four wrestlers who would have been better options.
8 Why Ronda Rousey Was A Good Winner: WWE Needed Her
Certainly, WWE's women's division is full of talent with the likes of Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair and Bayley, but still, Ronda Rousey's star power was needed. The "Rowdy" one is one of the most popular women in the world, so obviously the company benefits greatly from her presence.
Rousey had only been in WWE for a year, but in that short period of time she made an unparalleled impact, adapting incredibly quickly to the wrestling industry and earning the appreciation of the fans, who missed her dearly and went wild with her victory.
7 Better Option: Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks has had a brilliant career, but one of the few things she has yet to do is win a Royal Rumble match, and boy does she deserve it. This was a golden opportunity for her to win; in fact she was one of the favorites, however, she was randomly eliminated by Queen Zelina in less than 10 minutes.
If The Boss won, she could have had a memorable match against Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair. Perhaps a Royal Rumble win would have given Banks the momentum she needed to win her first match at WrestleMania.
6 Why Ronda Rousey Was A Good Winner: Convincing Winner
Ronda Rousey is called "The Baddest Woman On The Planet" for a reason, and that is that she is truly fearsome and at one point, when she was fighting in UFC, she was literally the most dangerous woman on the planet.

Rousey is a genuine fighter, who can destroy any woman on the current WWE roster. So, it makes perfect sense that she was the winner of the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble. It's amazing that Ronda barely has 31 televised matches in her wrestling career and has already accomplished things that the vast majority of women can only dream of.
5 Better Option: Bianca Belair
Speaking of convincing winners, Bianca Belair would have been an absolutely stellar winner as well, as she is simply on another level. Bianca is the strongest, the fastest, the most athletic: she is the complete package, which makes her an ideal woman to win the Royal Rumble match. If there is one woman who should be the first multi-time Royal Rumble winner, it's Bianca Belair.
However, Bianca Belair didn't have a great performance. She was the iron woman (lasting 47 and a half minutes) and made the final four, but she only eliminated Natalya and couldn't shine as usual.
4 Why Ronda Rousey Was A Good Winner: Several Possible Feuds
Ronda Rousey will most likely choose Charlotte Flair as her opponent at WrestleMania 38, as that feud doesn't seem to be over and SmackDown really needs a woman like Rousey. There's also the Becky Lynch option, of course, and frankly that would be a great match that the WWE Universe would love to watch.
If Rowdy becomes champion at WrestleMania, then she would have multiple interesting potential opponents like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks or Bayley. Any of those matches would be gold.
3 Better Option: Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley was one of the few women who really looked great in the Royal Rumble match. She was the 16th entrant, lasted over 30 minutes in the ring and eliminated Carmella, Queen Zelina and the legend Ivory.
It would have been amazing if Ripley won, as she needed momentum after she had been involved in somewhat lackluster feuds in recent months. However, The Nightmare is one of the most exciting up-and-comers in wrestling, and she will most likely win a Royal Rumble sooner or later.
2 Why Ronda Rousey Was A Good Winner: Shows The Importance Of Surprises And Returns
One key thing about the Royal Rumble is that there are surprise entrants and big returns, and unlike the Men's Royal Rumble match, the Women's Rumble reminded us of the importance of that.

Unfortunately, in this age of social media, information leaks easily, which is why many fans were already waiting for Rousey to show up and consequently win the Rumble. Still, it's amazing when a wrestler comes back in style and the crowd goes wild.
1 Better Option: Liv Morgan
Like Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan lasted a long time in the ring (37 minutes) but failed to shine. Liv had a nice reunion with Sarah Logan, only for both to be eliminated by the Bella Twins. Morgan couldn't even score any eliminations.
WWE's booking was weak in the Royal Rumble matches, and one of the wrestlers who suffered the most was Liv Morgan. She is one of the most beloved wrestlers in WWE today, so fans would have loved to see her win and get her Title match at WrestleMania. Plus, she deserves such a great moment.
