The Undertaker is undoubtedly one of the most iconic figures in WWE history. With a career spanning over three decades, he has gained numerous accolades and earned a legion of fans worldwide. However, one of the most enduring aspects of his career has been his friendship with Vince McMahon.

The relationship between The Undertaker and Vince McMahon goes back a long way. In fact, The Undertaker made his WWE debut back in 1990, and from the very beginning, he formed a close bond with the company's Chairman, Vince McMahon.

The Undertaker's Loyalty To Vince McMahon

One of the reasons why The Undertaker and Vince McMahon have such a strong friendship is that they have been through so much together. The Undertaker has been one of the cornerstones of WWE for over 30 years, and during that time, he has seen the company go through all kinds of ups and downs. Whether it was the Monday Night Wars, the Attitude Era, or the rise of the internet, The Undertaker has been there every step of the way, and he has always had Vince McMahon by his side.

Another reason why The Undertaker and Vince McMahon are such good friends is that they share a deep mutual respect for one another. The Undertaker has been incredibly loyal to Vince, and he has always gone out of his way to do whatever is necessary to help the company succeed. Moreover, he was one of the few stars who didn't leave WWE for WCW during the Monday Night Wars even when WWE was losing it. In turn, Vince McMahon has always been incredibly supportive of The Undertaker, both inside and outside the ring. Perhaps one of the most telling signs of the strength of their friendship is the fact that The Undertaker has always been willing to put his body on the line for Vince McMahon no matter his age. Over the years, he has been involved in some of the most brutal matches in WWE history, and he has always been willing to do whatever it takes.

Vince McMahon Inducted The Undertaker Into The Hall Of Fame

Inducting a superstar into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame is something Vince has rarely done. The last instance of Vince McMahon doing so was in 2009 when he inducted "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. However, he once again stepped up to present his good friend, The Undertaker, with the honor.

In an interview with CBS Sports' Shakiel Mahjouri, The Deadman shared insights into his relationship with Vince McMahon. He said, "You know, we have gone, our relationship has gone on from boss-employee to friends. I mean, he's been like a father figure to me, a brother, a friend. I mean, our relationship has kind of grown outside of the realm of WWE." The Undertaker added, "We text and call each other and talk about the most obscure things at this point, and that's really cool, but when I got the call that they wanted to induct me, there was nobody else that I could think of that I wanted to induct me more than Vince,"RELATED: When Did WWE Start Making A Big Deal Of Undertaker’s Undefeated Streak?

Vince McMahon Called The Undertaker Before Retiring

Vince McMahon retired from WWE last July when sexual misconduct allegations against him came to light. Fans couldn't believe his decision and neither could The Deadman. Speaking recently to Ariel Helwani, The Phenom revealed that he got a phone call from Vince the day before he announced his retirement. The Undertaker thought he was joking. He said, "He called me the day before he announced it, and we got in an argument because I thought he was ribbing me. I said, ‘There’s no way. There is absolutely no way you’re stepping away.’ He was like, ‘No, This is what I’m going to do.’ I’m like, ‘Why are you (bleeped out) with me? This is me.’ We ended up going at it a little bit. Finally, I was like, ‘Alright. Okay.’ Sure enough, the next day, Vince resigned, but I knew there’s no way he’d stay away."

As it turns out The Undertaker was correct as Vince has returned as The Executive Chairman of the company. But this instance clearly showed the bond between Vince and Undertaker as McMahon wanted The Deadman to know his big decision before the rest of the world.
