It may not have been visible on television, but there were actually plenty of unoccupied seats during last night's episode of WWE Raw, which was held at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Several fans who attended the show tweeted out photos to show just how empty the arena was. One fan stated that they moved over because of the low attendance:

According to WrestleTix, just 5,192 tickets were distributed for last night's show. For what it's worth, Xcel Energy Center has a capacity of 20,554. It should be noted that none of the major Minnesota-based professional sports teams played on Monday night, so it's not as if Raw had difficult local competition.

It's worth pointing out that last week's edition of AEW Dynamite at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York actually sold more tickets than the Nov. 29 WWE Raw show that was held at the same venue. Needless to say, WWE chairman Vince McMahon and company officials can't be all too pleased with all of this.

On the bright side, tickets for the upcoming WWE Day 1 pay-per-view (in Atlanta, Georgia on New Year's Day), have picked up significantly. As of Saturday, more than 83 percent of the available tickets for the event had been sold.

This week's episode of Raw saw Bobby Lashley get added to the WWE Championship match with Big E, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins at Day 1. WWE also announed that Liv Morgan will get another title opportuntiy against Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch at Day 1. "Big Time Becks" defeated Morgan in controversial fashion last week to retain her title.

Ratings Are A Greater Concern For Raw

Selling tickets is almost never a problem for WWE, so the low attendance this week is really nothing to worry about. Right now, the No. 1 concern foe WWE's flagship program is the noticeable drop in television ratings. Last week's show drew a 0.35 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, which marked the lowest in the 28-year history of Raw.
