In April 2022, Caroline Kennedy welcomed her first grandchild, Edwin Garrett Moran. "His name is Edwin, but I like to call him Jack," Kennedy's son and the baby's uncle, Jack Schlossberg, revealed to Today. Per the outlet, Kennedy's daughter, Tatiana Schlossberg, named her baby after her father, Edwin Schlossberg, and after her father-in-law. Jack also revealed to Today that the new grandmother is "so into it" when asked how she feels about her new role (via Glamour).
Sadly, Kennedy didn't have much time to bask in her grandmotherhood. As noted by Deadline, just a couple of months after the baby's birth, she was sworn in as the U.S. ambassador to Australia and moved to the country in July. With Kennedy's job being in another country, she will likely miss out on time with her grandson, at least in his early years — but Edwin will have an excellent role model.
