Unquestionably, The Rock is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Rock had tons of pressure on his shoulders to excel as he is a third-generation wrestler. He is the son of Rocky Johnson and the grandson of "High Chief" Peter Maivia. Nevertheless, Rock's achievements in the wrestling industry were fantastic and he surpassed his father and grandfather's efforts. However, it wasn't always plain sailing for the People's Champion as when he was Rocky Maivia he endured a lot of stick from WWE fans.

Turning heel was one of the best things to happen to Rock in 1998 and the rest as they say is history. Rock's full-time WWE career only lasted six years from 1996-2002 and it's amazing what he achieved in that period. He's made sporadic appearances since before starting a successful acting career in Hollywood. Some of the things that he has achieved in his WWE career are what some can only dream of.
10 Tag Team Champion
The Rock isn't renowned for being a tag team wrestler but The Rock has got his hands on Tag Team Championship gold five times in his WWE career. Rock and his former rival Mankind, known collectively as The Rock 'n' Sock Connection, clinched the titles thrice as a tandem in 1999.
Rock and The Undertaker won the WWE World Tag Team Championship once from Edge and Christian in 2000, and they dropped the titles back to the duo on the following episode of SmackDown. A year later, Rock and another rival Chris Jericho, combined to beat the Dudley Boyz for the WWE World Tag Team Championship.
9 Intercontinental Champion
The Intercontinental Championship is traditionally seen as the stepping stone to becoming a WWE Champion and The Rock captured the Intercontinental Championship twice. He defeated Triple H for his first run as Intercontinental Champion in February 1997 as Rocky Maivia.
Rock dropped the title to Owen Hart a couple of months later. However, he was Intercontinental Champion for the second time in December 1997 as Steve Austin "gifted" him the championship. Rock became the second longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in the '90s as he held the championship for 264 days before he dropped the title to Triple H.
8 Deadly Games Tournament Winner
The Rock was one of the major contenders to win the WWE Championship in the Deadly Games tournament at Survivor Series 1998. Rock was originally scheduled to face Triple H in the opening round but was injured, so he faced Big Boss Man instead and dispatched him in seconds.
In the quarterfinals, Rock defeated the Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock and The Undertaker albeit by disqualification in the semifinals. In the final, Rock collided with Mankind, who had the McMahons by his side. However, one of the best double turns in WWE history happened with Rock applying the sharpshooter on Mankind and the McMahons called for the bell with Rock turning heel and becoming WWE Champion for the first time.
7 Triple Crown Winner
The Rock never became a Grand Slam Champion throughout his WWE career as he failed to win the Hardcore or European Championship. Nevertheless, the Great One won't be losing much sleep over that as he became the sixth Triple Crown Winner in WWE history.

Rock was a two-time Intercontinental Champion and he held the WWE Championship three times by the time he'd completed his Triple Crown set. Rock teamed up with his former rival Mankind as the Rock 'n' Sock Connection and they beat The Undertaker and Big Show for the WWE World Tag Team Championship in August 1999 with Rock adding his name to the WWE Triple Crown roll of honor.
6 PWI Match Of The Year Winner Twice
Unquestionably, The Rock is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and the People's Champion's efforts have not gone unnoticed. The Pro Wrestling Illustrated has awarded The Rock with the PWI Match of the Year award twice, a superb accomplishment.
The Rock's WWE Championship victory over Mankind in a violent "I Quit" match at the 1999 Royal Rumble was Rock's first PWI Match of the Year award. Three years later, Rock and Hulk Hogan had an instant classic at WrestleMania 18 which should have headlined the show but Rock was victorious.
5 PWI Wrestler Of The Year (2000)
With Steve Austin and The Undertaker on the shelf for large parts of 2000, The Rock took the ball and ran with it as the undisputed top babyface in the company. Rock had a stellar 2000 as he won the Royal Rumble match, headlined WrestleMania and he won the WWE Championship twice more at Triple H's expense.
He was rightfully awarded the PWI Wrestler of the Year in 2000, and he had some excellent matches with the likes of Triple H and Kurt Angle among others. 2000 was the best year in Rock's WWE career and he had the fans cheering him on every week.
4 WrestleMania Main Eventer
Every WWE wrestler aspires to compete at WrestleMania but only a select few have the honor of main eventing WrestleMania. The Rock has participated in five WrestleMania main events throughout his career. He has a dreadful record with one win and four defeats.

Rock headlined WrestleMania in three successive years from 1999-01. He lost the WWE Championship to Steve Austin at WrestleMania 15 and 17, sandwiched between a four corners elimination loss to Triple H at WrestleMania 16. The Rock finally got his first victory in a WrestleMania main event by beating John Cena at WrestleMania 28, and a year later, Cena got his revenge at WrestleMania 29 with the WWE Championship at stake.
3 Royal Rumble Winner
A Royal Rumble match victory was missing from The Rock's resume, but he was unquestionably the favorite to win the 2000 Royal Rumble match with a lack of star power in the Rumble. Rock entered the Rumble, 24th and he received a huge ovation.
The Rock eliminated Big Boss Man, Crash Holly, and Al Snow from the Royal Rumble. However, there was controversy as Rock's feet touched the floor when Big Show "eliminated" him but Rock regrouped and dumped Big Show over the top rope to win the 2000 Royal Rumble match, punching his ticket to WrestleMania 16.
2 WCW Champion
Winning a World Championship is one of the biggest things that someone could win in their wrestling career. WWE purchased WCW in March 2001 and the WCW Championship was WWE's property. At SummerSlam 2001, The Rock defeated Booker T in the main event for the WCW Championship.
The Big Gold Belt is one of the most recognizable World Championships in professional wrestling history, and Rock did a good job as WCW Champion. Rock won the WCW Championship for a second time from Chris Jericho with both of his WCW Championship runs curtailed by Y2J.
1 WWE Champion
The WWE Championship is the biggest prize in WWE history, and The Rock has got his hands on the WWE Championship eight times. Rock's WWE Championship win at Survivor Series 1998 was historic as he became the first black man to win the WWE Championship.
Rock made more history at Vengeance 2002 when he defeated The Undertaker and Kurt Angle in a triple threat match to become the first-ever seven-time WWE Champion. Rock clinched the WWE Championship in three different decades and he battled the likes of Steve Austin, Triple H, Mankind, and The Undertaker among others over the WWE Championship in some memorable battles.
