At some point in history, TNA was considered the second-biggest wrestling promotion in the United States, behind WWE, of course. TNA had a roster full of tremendous wrestlers like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Kurt Angle, and also had legends like Sting, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and Ric Flair.

In that sense, it's no wonder that TNA has produced several top-notch PPVs, featuring memorable matches, and frankly the first 10 monthly PPVs were no exception. The company allowed the talent to do what they do best, and they usually delivered. Without further ado, let's take a look at the top 10 monthly TNA PPVs, ranked worst to best.

10 Destination X 2005

TNA Destination X 2005

After four solid PPVs, Destination X 2005 was a complete disappointment. When a PPV is mediocre, the main event can save it, or make it even worse, and this time it was the latter.

The match between Jeff Jarrett and Diamond Dallas Page was an overbooked mess, which would have been the worst match of the PPV if it wasn't for the match between The Disciples Of Destruction (Don and Ron Harris) and Phi Delta Slam (Big Tilly and Bruno), which was one of the worst TNA matches in 2005. The only good match of this PPV was the Ultimate X Challenge match.

9 Hard Justice 2005Hard Justice 2005

Hard Justice 2005 featured nine matches, and only a couple of them were decent at best, the Clockwork Orange House Of Fun match between Raven and Sean Waltman, and the TNA X-Division Title match between Christopher Daniels and Shocker.

The rest of the card was pretty lackluster, including the main event, in which AJ Styles defeated Jeff Jarrett to become NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Nevertheless, no match was terrible by any means.

8 Slammiversary 2005Slammiversary 2005

The first Slammiversary PPV had some flaws, but was solid overall. The main event was the best match of the night, just as it should be, Raven won a King Of The Mountain match against AJ Styles, Abyss, Monty Brown and Sean Waltman to become NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

The Three Way Elimination match for the X-Division Title between Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin and Michael Shane was fun to watch. The six-pack match to start the PPV wasn't bad either. The rest of the card was nothing special, though.

7 Victory Road 2004

Jeff Hardy Vs Jeff Jarrett

This was the first monthly TNA PPV, it wasn't fantastic, but it didn't disappoint at all. The opening match was a tremendous 20-man Gauntlet match, which Hector Garza won. Petey Williams and AJ Styles delivered an excellent match.

There was also an interesting Last Man Standing tag team match between America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) and Triple X (Christopher Daniels and Primetime). The main event was an average Ladder match, in which Jeff Jarrett defeated Jeff Hardy to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title. The PPV ended with Randy Savage making his TNA debut.

6 Final Resolution 2005

Ultimate x match TNA Final Resolution 2005

Final Resolution 2005 is remembered because it featured two phenomenal matches. America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) defeated Team Canada (Bobby Roode and Eric Young) to become NWA World Tag Team Champions after an epic match.

Immediately after came the Ultimate X match in which AJ Styles defeated Chris Sabin and Petey Williams to win the X-Division Championship, this match went down in history as one of the best in TNA history. Otherwise, there is not much else to highlight about this PPV.

5 Against All Odds 2005

Against All Odds 2005

Final Resolution 2005 and Against All Odds 2005 were similar PPVs in terms of quality, but maybe the latter was slightly better. Once again, America's Most Wanted delivered a very good match, this time against Kid Kash and Lance Hoyt.

The Full Metal Mayhem match between Abyss and Jeff Hardy was great, and the main event between Jeff Jarrett and Kevin Nash was entertaining. The best match of the PPV was the 30-Minute Iron Man match between AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, which was an instant classic.

4 No Surrender 2005

No Surrender 2005 Samoa Joe vs Chris Sabin

This PPV didn't have such a shocking match, but it was more consistent, it was more entertaining, because it had several great matches. Samoa Joe defeated Chris Sabin in an amazing match, AJ Styles and Sean Waltman delivered a very good match and Christopher Daniels retained the X-Division Title against Petey Williams in an excellent bout.

The main event was pretty good too, a No Surrender Dog Collar match between NWA World Heavyweight Champion Raven and Abyss.

3 Lockdown 2005

Abyss vs AJ Styles Steel Cage TNA

Lockdown 2005 was a solid PPV, with great matches, good moments and good booking overall. All the matches on the PPV were inside the Steel Cage, which seemed like an odd decision, but it worked out very well.

The main event featured AJ Styles taking on Abyss, a sensational match. Jeff Hardy defeated Raven in a great match, Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper delivered a solid match, and we also saw an entertaining Four Way Elimination match.

2 Sacrifice 2005

Samoa Joe at TNA Sacrifice 2005

The first half of Sacrifice 2005 was mediocre, with disappointing matches, but the second half was the opposite. The last four matches of the PPV were worth watching, and brought the PPV back to life.

Jerry Lynn versus Sean Waltman was great, the eight-man tag team match was fun to watch, and the 2005 Super X Cup Final match between Samoa Joe and AJ Styles was fantastic. In the main event, Jeff Jarrett and Rhino defeated Raven and Sabu, a solid match as well.

1 Turning Point 2004

Turning Point 2004

Among the first 10 monthly TNA PPVs, the best was arguably Turning Point 2004. This PPV was entertaining from start to finish, and practically every match on the card was, at least, satisfactory. The best match of the PPV was the main event, a Six Sides Of Steel Cage Match between America's Most Wanted and Triple X, in which the losing team had to split, an unforgettable match.

Petey Williams and Chris Sabin delivered an amazing match, Diamond Dallas Page versus Raven was very good too, and the opener between Team Canada and 3 Live Kru (BG James and Ron Killings) was entertaining. This was such a great PPV.
