Joe and Jill Biden raised their three children while she taught English and he served in the United States Senate. Those three children grew up to have their own children, giving the Bidens those happy grandkids who gathered around their "Pop" to hug him and cheer after the 2020 election was called for him on November 7, more than three days after the polls closed, as granddaughter Naomi posted on Twitter that morning.
The Bidens have seven grandchildren all together, including five granddaughters and two grandsons. The first of the Biden granddaughters is Naomi, Hunter's oldest daughter with his first wife, Kathleen. Naomi was named for her aunt who died when she was just a year old in 1972 (via Vogue). She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and later earned her graduate degree at Columbia University in New York, according to Town & Country.
Finnegan Biden is Naomi's younger sister and was a frequent 2020 campaign fixture, as she traveled with her grandfather during his quest to become president during a pandemic. Naomi and Finnegan's younger sister, Maisy, also campaigned for her grandfather in 2020. (via Town & Country).
Hunter also has a younger son named Beau with his second wife, Melissa, who was born in 2020, according to The Associated Press. The Sun reports that Hunter has a fourth daughter who was born in 2018 named Navy Joan and that a paternity test proves he is the father.
