WWE Superstars come in all different shapes and sizes, and that is part of the beauty of the sport. There is no template for what a World Champion wrestler should look like, and this list certainly highlights that.
Throughout history, there have been plenty of big men like Hulk Hogan and John Cena as World Champions. However, when a giant steps into the ring, everyone's head is turned. Equally, there have been some small, incredibly gifted wrestlers who have been just as successful.

Over the years the people who have been lucky enough to hold the WWE's top prize have been varied, to say the least. Within this list, we will reveal the five smallest World Champions in history and the five tallest.
10 Shortest: Bruno Sammartino (5' 10'')
He might have held the World Title for over seven years at one point, but Bruno Sammartino is also one of the smallest men to have ever held it. However, this just debunks the age-old myth that only big jacked talents could succeed back in the day.
Bruno might not have been the tallest man, but he more than made up for that in bulk size and power. Bruno was a physical specimen and was able to power up and lift anybody that came his way.
He is one of the all-time greats and is the true embodiment of what a legend is in professional wrestling, even if he is slightly small.
9 Tallest: The Undertaker (6' 10'')
Speaking of wrestling legends, there are also fewer bigger names in the history of the industry than The Undertaker. He took the idea of being a big man and totally turned it on its head due to how athletic he is in the ring.

The Undertaker could do things that many others much smaller than him couldn't, and that made him stand out instantly. When that was combined with his tremendous gimmick, The Undertaker was always going to be a top star.
While he didn't dominate the World Title scene like he perhaps could have done, his gimmick didn't really need it. However, he did hold the title multiple times throughout his career.
8 Shortest: Pedro Morales (5' 10'')
Another old-school legend who held the World Title despite being very small was Pedro Morales. He was the WWWF Champion in the early 1970s and held onto the title for an incredible length of time.
His dominance took place during a period of time where quick title runs and frequent changes weren't a thing. Because of that, he managed to have a run with the title for several years.
Morales is a true wrestling legend and someone who will no doubt always be remembered for being one of the true greats.
7 Tallest: Kane (7' 0'')
He might not have been World Champion as many times as his brother, Kane is still a former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion. He also happens to be one of the tallest WWE Superstars of all time.
He entered WWE as a complete monster, ripping doors off Hell in a Cell's and no-selling steel chair shots to the head. Therefore him becoming World Champion was simply inevitable.

Kane is one of the greatest gimmicks in the history of professional wrestling and many would argue for him being the best big man of all time.
6 Shortest: Daniel Bryan (5' 10'')
A modern-day small WWE Champion is Daniel Bryan. He is someone who has dominated the main event scene for years and has had several runs as World Champion throughout his legendary career.
He is arguably one of the greatest professional wrestlers to have ever lived and while he might be small, that has never stopped him. He has become a truly great underdog and that has allowed his fan support to grow incredibly.
The WWE Universe loves Daniel Bryan and one of the main reasons is because he is so relatable. This is where his height has played a big advantage to him throughout his career.
5 Tallest: Big Show (7' o'')
When it comes to the tallest World Champions in history, it is no surprise that Big Show makes the list. The World's Largest Athlete is a legitimate giant, but he is also incredibly athletic as well.
He changed the way big men were seen with his fantastic in-ring work, and even though he didn't always dominate the main event scene, he certainly did well enough.

Big Show earned the World Championship to nobody's surprise considering his size. However, it was the way he moved around the ring with real speed that caught everyone off guard.
4 Shortest: Eddie Guerrero (5' 8'')
Another wrestling legend who was World Champion and was incredibly small was Eddie Guerrero. It took Eddie a long time to reach that point in his career, but it certainly created a special moment.
He was more than worthy as a World Champion because in the ring there were very few people who could hang with him. Eddie was in a class of his own and the intensity he brought to matches more than made up for his size.
He also had an amazing over the top personality that meant everything he did was so easy to get involved in. Whether as a heel or a babyface, Guerrero was always able to make things work.
3 Tallest: The Great Khali (7' 1'')
Unfortunately, something that WWE likes to do when they find incredibly tall wrestlers is push them as monsters immediately. This is regardless of their in-ring ability and it has led to some very questionable wrestlers having solid runs in the company.

One example of that was The Great Khali. He was an incredibly tall man and it is clear to see why WWE wanted to sign him, as he is an attraction. However, in the ring, he was very limited due to his height.
However, that didn't stop WWE booking him as a World Champion for a brief period when he first arrived. While he wasn't the greatest champion, he was certainly one of the tallest.
2 Shortest: Rey Mysterio (5' 6'')
It will not come as a surprise to learn that Rey Mysterio is the smallest WWE Champion in the history of professional wrestling. He has often been billed as "WWE's biggest little man," and he has certainly proven that size doesn't matter.
Rey Mysterio might traditionally be seen as one of the greatest cruiserweights of all time, but he has enjoyed a couple of runs as World Champion as well, Mysterio has mainly been able to do that just because of how popular he is.
The Master of the 619 is an amazing in-ring talent and therefore he was able to reach that height. While he wasn't someone who would be World Champion all the time, when the storyline was right, it worked.
1 Tallest: Andre The Giant (7' 4'')
The tallest World Champion in WWE's history is the legendary, Andre The Giant. He is often seen as the greatest big man of all time simply due to the impact that he had on the industry during his career.
While Andre didn't have the athleticism that big men nowadays have, he certainly carried a presence about him. Nobody had seen anything like him before and because of that, he was often booked as a very dominant monster.
While WWE often lied about his height, as they do with many wrestlers of his size, Andre is considered to be the tallest to hold a World Title.
