SummerSlam 2019 emanated from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins headlined the show in a Universal Championship match. The Beast Incarnate and Rollins' chemistry together is outstanding, and Rollins always stood up to Lesnar.
They had another excellent match at SummerSlam, and Lesnar was the aggressor throughout. However, the Architect saw off Lesnar to recapture the Universal Championship with The Stomp. It was Rollins' second Universal Title win over Lesnar in 2019 after he dethroned him at WrestleMania 35 in the curtain-raiser.
10 The Great Sasuke Vs. Taka Michinoku - In Your House: Canadian Stampede, 1997 (7.64)
Both The Great Sasuke and Taka Michinoku made their in-ring debut at In Your House: Canadian Stampede. The crowd in Calgary was mesmerized at what they were witnessing. The match was fast-paced, and it was a back-and-forth encounter. Sasuke launched Michinoku over the top rope, and he nailed him with a missile dropkick onto the outside.
Michinoku responded with his own high-risk maneuvers. Near falls and reversals in a 10-minute sprint were served up on the menu. Michinoku was closing in on victory with his patented Michinoku Driver. However, Sasuke kicked out and Michinoku was in shock. Sasuke recovered, and he executed the Thunder Fire Bomb, and a bridging pin followed for the win.
9 Hulk Hogan Vs. The Ultimate Warrior - WrestleMania 6 (7.68)
The SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada hosted WrestleMania 6. WWE Champion Hulk Hogan and Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior went head-to-head in one of the biggest matches in the history of WrestleMania. It was a winner takes all match, and both wrestlers were at the top of their games.

Neither man is known for putting on technical masterclasses, but they told an excellent story. Warrior was defiant, and he powered out of Hogan's Leg Drop. Nonetheless, Hogan dropped the WWE Championship as Warrior captured the WWE Championship, and the crowd went wild.
8 Lita Vs. Trish Stratus - Unforgiven 2006 (8.02)
Trish Stratus challenged Lita for the WWE Women's Championship in front of her hometown fans in Toronto at Unforgiven 2006. There was an extra incentive for Trish to prevail as she was going to retire from professional wrestling. Nevertheless, the final chapter of Trish and Lita's rivalry did not fail to disappoint.
Lita thrived on playing the pantomime villain, and she was looking to put a dampener on Trish's farewell. Trish and Lita constructed an excellent match. Ultimately, Trish applied the Sharpshooter on Lita, and that was enough for Trish to kickstart her record-setting seventh Women's Championship reign. The tears flowed, and Trish had the perfect farewell.
7 Chris Benoit Vs. Randy Orton - SummerSlam 2004 (8.02)
At SummerSlam 2004, Chris Benoit defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton. The Rabid Wolverine was booed by some fans, despite the match taking place in Toronto. Jerry "The King" Lawler coined Toronto as "Bizarro World" as the fans in Toronto were cheering for the heels in some matches.
Orton proved that he was more than capable of winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Benoit attempted the Crossface, but Orton superbly reversed it into the RKO. With the victory, Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history at the age of 24.
6 The Rock Vs. Hulk Hogan - WrestleMania 18 (8.44)
The Rock and Hulk Hogan should have closed out WrestleMania 18 as it was the match that everyone wanted to see. The Hulkster was back in the SkyDome, 12 years after he dropped the WWE Title to The Ultimate Warrior. Moreover, Hogan was making his first WrestleMania appearance in nine years, and he donned the nWo colors as the heel.

Fans love Hogan, and Rock was the babyface, but he received a hostile reception. They stole the show in a remarkable match. Despite Hogan's efforts, it was not enough as Rock saw off Hogan in a high-level encounter.
5 Team SmackDown Vs. Team Raw - Survivor Series 2016 (8.65)
The traditional Survivor Series elimination match at the 2016 iteration of Survivor Series was one of the best. Both teams were star-studded. Team SmackDown fielded WWE Champion AJ Styles, Shane McMahon, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, and Randy Orton. Team Raw consisted of Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman.
Both teams had a magnificent outing, and it was a hard-hitting affair. It was whittled down to Bray Wyatt on his lonesome with the former Shield members. However, Wyatt weathered the storm, and he lastly eliminated the Big Dog with Sister Abigail.
4 Edge Vs. John Cena - Unforgiven 2006 (8.91)
Edge and John Cena's rivalry was one of the best feuds in 2006. The Rated-R Superstar put his WWE Championship on the line against Cena in his hometown of Toronto in a TLC match at Unforgiven. Of course, Edge was going to get a positive reception despite being a heel. The Ultimate Opportunist found it hard to keep his emotions in check as he was visibly emotional.
The odds were stacked against Cena as he had to drown out the crowd, and the TLC match was Edge's specialty. Nevertheless, Edge and Cena produced one of the best matches in their feud. It was high-caliber and there were several dangerous spots. Big Match John hoisted Edge on his shoulders at the top of the ladder, and he sent Edge crashing into a couple of tables. Cena retrieved the WWE Title belt to kickstart his iconic 380-day reign as WWE Champion.
3 Chris Benoit Vs. Triple H Vs. Shawn Michaels - Backlash 2004 (8.93)
Backlash 2004 was arguably the best pay-per-view that WWE produced in 2004. Chris Benoit had the perfect homecoming as he defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H and Shawn Michaels in a triple threat match. Backlash emanated in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and it was a rematch of the main event of WrestleMania 20.
The trio may have not hit the heights of their WrestleMania clash, but it was still a memorable match. Benoit applied the Sharpshooter on Michaels and that was enough for Benoit to send his hometown fans happy with a successful title defense.
2 The Hart Foundation Vs. Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, And The Legion Of Doom - In Your House: Canadian Stampede, 1997 (8.95)
The Hart Foundation comprised of Bret Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim Neidhart, and Brian Pillman received one of the greatest hometown receptions. They marched into In Your House: Canadian Stampede individually in Calgary with fans ecstatic with their appearance.
They squared off with Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, and the Legion of Doom. It was arguably the greatest 10-man tag team match in WWE history. The action was exceptional, and this match signaled the end of Bret and Austin's feud. Owen pinned Austin to send the crowd bonkers, and it kickstarted Owen and Austin's feud over the Intercontinental Championship.
1 Randy Orton Vs. Cactus Jack - Backlash 2004 (9.36)
Randy Orton was provided with one of the sternest tests in his career at Backlash 2004. He defended the Intercontinental Championship on pay-per-view for the first time against Cactus Jack in a Hardcore match. The Legend Killer had to mature rapidly as Evolution was banned from ringside.
Foley has a high threshold for pain, and he put his body on the line as jumped off the stage onto Orton. The Legend Killer responded with his own offense, and he produced a career-defining performance. The RKO on the exposed barbed wire baseball bat was enough for Orton to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
