Antonio Brown remains one of the most controversial figures in the NFL today, and arguably all-time. While he's one of the greatest receivers to ever step on the field, he's also a bit of a basket case to put it lightly. Since leaving Pittsburgh in 2018, he's run into controversy after controversy.

Following his release from Tampa Bay due to his on-the-field meltdown, many speculated that he will never get signed again. However, given his talent level, that's a bit naive, a team will be willing to take a risk on Antonio Brown before the beginning of the season. That being said, not every squad will be so keen to give him a shot.

Yes, it's true that Antonio Brown was just released from Tampa Bay last year due to his meltdown on the field, and conflict with Bruce Arians. However, with Arians gone, Tom Brady back, and the team still angling for another big wideout, a reunion makes sense.

At this point, Brady has made it clear that he's willing to overlook Brown's off-the-field issues due to their relationship. If the star quarterback vouches for the wide receiver once again, don't be surprised if a return happens.

9 Will Avoid: Pittsburgh Steelers

Antonio Brown recently stated on Twitter that his goal was to retire as a Steeler. Given the recent departure of Juju Smith-Schuster, it seems that the former Pro Bowler is possibly trying to angle for a return. However, there's no chance that happens.

While it's been a few years since he left the team, it's likely that Mike Tomlin and the top figures of the organization haven't forgotten the headache Brown was. While they could use the help, no chance they'll be hoping for a reunion.

8 Take A Risk: Kansas City Chiefs

Like Tampa Bay, Kansas City is also looking to get back to the Super Bowl. Andy Reid has been a coach that has been known to give second chances to players over the years, and it's worked out more often than not. It's possible that he'll want to try and give Antonio Brown a try as well.

With the team having a hole to fill at wide receiver, and Brown being a cheap option, the move makes sense. Tyreek Hill is now gone, and the Chiefs may want to go and sign another all-star wideout for Patrick Mahomes.

7 Will Avoid: Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the teams that are hurting the most for a star-wide receiver. Add in the fact that they are one of the most poorly run organizations in sports, it seems that they might be a team to take a risk on Antonio Brown.

However, if it were a normal year, they might give Brown a chance, but it's not. The team is just one year from their Urban Meyer fiasco, and with Trevor Lawrence needing a quiet year to develop, don't expect them to sign another headache.

6 Take A Risk: Cleveland Browns

Deshaun Watson

The Cleveland Browns have already made one of the most controversial moves in NFL history by mortgaging their entire future for Deshaun Watson in the midst of a sexual assault trial. The team believes they are close to being a Super Bowl contender, and adding another weapon would be huge.

While this would be another controversial move by the team, at this point why not go all in? Watson was a far bigger risk, and Brown will be one of the cheapest players that the team can get, and also make a huge splash.

5 Will Avoid: New England Patriots

Similar to the aforementioned Steelers, it's likely that this will be a reunion that the New England Patriots will want to avoid. While the team could use a big weapon and is looking to make the jump to contenders, don't expect Antonio Brown to head back to New England.

The main reason is Bill Belichick. While he gave Brown a chance back in 2019 due to Tom Brady vouching for him, that won't happen this time. Belichick is not one who is big on forgiveness when he's been wronged by a player.

4 Take A Risk: Dallas Cowboys

Earlier this year, Antonio Brown publicly asked the Dallas Cowboys to go ahead and give him a shot. However, the signing hasn't happened yet. That doesn't mean that it won't happen, as the team could use some more firepower.

The Cowboys constantly feel like they're one step away from being a contender, and giving Dak Prescott another weapon won't hurt. Jerry Jones is known for giving players second chances, so don't be shocked if this happens.

3 Will Avoid: Seattle Seahawks

There were reports last year that Antonio Brown was being looked at by the Seattle Seahawks as being a possible signing. The move was apparently being pushed by Russell Wilson, as he wanted to keep the team as a contender.

However, with Wilson gone and the Seahawks rebuilding, any rumors that the signing will happen are now dead. Add in the fact that Seattle still has D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, they're not hurting for wideouts.

2 Take A Risk: Baltimore Ravens

Earlier this year, Lamar Jackson and Antonio Brown stated that they wanted to play together on Twitter. While the Baltimore Ravens GM later squashed that rumor, with the loss of Marquise Brown, the team badly needs a wide receiver.

The Ravens are another team looking to remain a contender, and Brown could badly help their hole at wide receiver. Since the star quarterback is on board with it, don't be surprised if the star wideout ends up in Baltimore.

1 Will Avoid: Las Vegas Raiders

Derek Carr points

The Las Vegas Raiders have hope for the first time in a long time. They've made some big signings since last season, and they feel now is the time to compete for championships. While adding a big weapon would help, Antonio Brown won't be signed to the team.

The team already gave Brown a shot back in 2018, and it failed terribly. Add in the fact that they just dealt with multiple controversies last year, they'll likely avoid a headache in 2022.
