Proving he's ready to defend the title against anyone, at any time, and in any place, new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has issued an open challenge for Monday's upcoming episode of Raw. He wrote on his Twitter account Friday, "My man @WWEBigE was the last defender of the crown…..in November 2021?!?? Let’s change that. Open Challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship is officially LIVE for THIS Monday night in Hartford!"RELATED: Seth Rollins Talks 'Ushering In A New Era' As WWE World Heavyweight ChampionThe tweet is interesting on a couple of fronts. First, it notes that Rollins is going to be a fighting champion and he doesn't necessarily care against who. That backs up claims he made this past Monday night when he said, "I want all the fights!" Second, it suggests the new world title comes from the same lineage that Big E's did, which runs counter to news that WWE was starting this title out as something that never existed until Seth Rollins won it. As of this writing, WWE has still not changed the website to suggest this championship had any previous owners.

Who Will Answer The Challenge?

As for who might answer the challenge, it appears Rollins already has a challenger. Damian Priest posted a video on social media saying Rollins should consider his challenge closed as he accepts. While this hasn't been confirmed as a match by WWE, in the past, when a challenge is accepted via video or on social media, the company considers that as good as walking out on Raw and accepting in person. It remains to be seen if WWE will advertise the match in advance or not.
