A major and necessary FNAF: Security Breach update fixes over 100 bugs and glitches that received frequent criticism from disappointed players.

Five Nights At Freddys

A major Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach update that fixes over 100 bugs and glitches is now available. The latest title in the survival horror franchise is extremely ambitious and unique compared to other FNAF games. However, players weren't entirely impressed with the gameplay issues they faced after the AAA release and the update is welcomed.

After multiple delays, FNAF: Security Breach was finally released in December of 2021. The 10th game in the FNAF series includes a new explorable and complex map, characters, gameplay, and a different visual style than seen in previous titles. Although Security Breach is FNAF's first AAA title and the new take on the franchise is exciting, the game fell short for many. Unfortunately, the latest release was riddled with bugs and glitches. Fans also complained about the complicated gameplay and lack of scares compared to previous games in the franchise, causing a low rating for Security Breach. The disappointment in the community following the release of the latest title is strange for a series like FNAF, but completely reasonable when taking into account the issues in the game that arguably could've been worked on prior to release.

Fortunately for FNAF fans, FNAF: Security Breach has received a massive update that repairs over 100 bugs and glitches hindering the game's overall success. Many are direct fixes for huge complaints while others are patching up small things, and all are listed in the patch notes found on the Steel Wool Studios website. Most importantly, the update seems to make gameplay easier in general, as the difficulty was frequently criticized. One of the aspects in Security Breach increasing the difficulty was the manual save stations and lack of them after 6 AM (known as Overtime). This is now fixed with an added Save Station on the 2nd floor of the Atrium that can only be used in Overtime. More hiding spots are available in the Lobby and the burdensome Burntrap Boss Battle is now more balanced and easier for players.

Other additions include practical fixes such as color-coding to Daycare Generators similar to that of Parts & Service in FNAF: Help Wanted and a camera instruction card on the FazWatch that will encourage players to plan the routes using the camera. Another large fix has to do with Comedy Bot, an animatronic in the game affected by a bug that causes the bot to be useless when the player encounters it in the theater. Since its name is Comedy Bot, players expected plenty of jokes and will finally be able to hear them thanks to the fix. With new loading screens and a cinematic skip feature, Security Breach should be much more polished with this update and up to the expected standards of the community.

Despite all the technical fixes, there are still a few plot holes that fans want to be filled and the extensive Mega Pizzaplex setting has areas that are currently empty. Developers have talked about Security Breach DLCs since before the major repairs the game needed (including a rumored multiplayer mode) and now the extra content will be able to fit seamlessly into the upgraded game.
