A former MMA star and now professional wrestler for WWE, Ronda Rousey is among the most famous women in the world and her tagline as the "Baddest Woman on the Planet" is a moniker that suits her just fine. It's also ironic considering she's happy to admit she's prepared for the day when the planet as we know it comes to an end.

These days Rousey is making the rounds with her new WWE family but when she's not on the road, she spends her time with husband Travis Browne on a large estate in Southern California where she's busy doomsday prepping for an eventual apocalypse. This is not to suggest Rousey believes the world has a Walking Dead-type situation on its hands, but she believes there will come a time when the modern conveniences as we know them will cease to exist and when they do, she doesn't want to be caught off guard.

During an interview with the director of her new film Mile 22, Peter Berg, Rousey said, "I am a big doomsday prepper. I think of it as a very positive outlook on the world. Some people think it is negative. But I think as a self-proclaimed genetic cream of the crop such as I am, I owe it to humanity to survive the end of the world. It's my responsibility..." In other words, she owes it to the world to out-survive others and to reshape the planet in a new light once the catastrophe (whatever it is) comes and goes. She added, "Instead of my apocalypse plan being a handle of alcohol and maybe tears, which is a lot of people's plan, I'm like, I'm going to make it. If anyone's going to make it, I'm going to make it."

Rousey has never been afraid to talk issues unrelated to her fighting and she knows there's more to life than money and acquiring material possessions. To her, "It is more important for people to know how to feed themselves than to know how to do trigonometry." She might have a point. She makes the argument big corporations are making billions of dollars off of people's ignorance and inability to do simple tasks — tasks that most people used to do when there were no iPads, social media or the Internet.  Her desire to have the common skills needed to live in a world that doesn't have the things people take for granted today is not such a terrible plan.

So, when she's not breaking people's arms and entertaining millions in the WWE Universe, Rousey and her hubby are living a simple life fending off the land, raising goats and teaching themselves the tools to one day manage in a world that's full of people who can't fend for themselves.

WWE better hope the end of the world is far, far away since the company is setting financial records with her in the fold.
