Shayna Baszler's 416-day title reign came to an end Wednesday night after Rhea Ripley defeated one of the most dominant champions in NXT history.
It all went down during Baszler's highly-anticipated title defense against Ripley tonight in the main event of NXT on USA Network.
The finish of the match saw Rhea manage to fend off Baszler's submission finisher, then land her Riptide finisher from the top rope moments later to pickup the victory.
Baszler's lengthy run with the Women's title first began in August 2018 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 when she defeated Kairi Sane. She went on to defend her title against challengers Io Shirai, Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, Bianca Belair and more.
