Ever since Triple H took over as the Chief Content Officer of WWE following Vince McMahon's exit from the company last year, he brought back several superstars who were released from the company as part of the budget cuts and also those who left on their own terms.

However, only a few of them have lived up to The Game's expectations following their return, as there have been multiple reports stating that some of the returned superstars have underwhelmed Triple H to a great extent. With that said, let's take a look at how the returned wrestlers have been doing in WWE since their comeback.

14 Tegan Nox

Tegan Nox WWE

Tegan Nox was one of the many wrestlers WWE released as part of the budget cuts as the company showed her the doors in 2021. She even stated in an interview that the budget cuts had nothing to do with her release as she felt she didn't have the looks or idea the company wanted for their female wrestlers.

However, she got rehired by WWE in December 2022, and she's now doing a decent job on the SmackDown roster, competing in the women's tag team division.

13 Sarah Logan

Valhalla WWE Cropped

WWE released Sarah Logan as part of the budget cuts in 2020, and following her exit, she took a lengthy hiatus from pro wrestling due to her being pregnant.

After a one-off appearance at the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match, Sarah Logan returned full-time to the company under the name Valhalla and became the on-screen valet of The Viking Raiders, comprising Ivar and her husband, Erik.

She's been getting decent screen time so far, but despite her involvement with the team, The Viking Raiders haven't been doing a great job.

12 Emma

Emma-WWE-Return

Unlike most of the other entrants, Emma wasn't a victim of the budget cuts as she got released from WWE way back in 2017. She then went on to compete in the indies, ROH, and Impact Wrestling before WWE opened its doors for her in October 2022.

However, WWE didn't push her straight up to the title pictures but is slowly helping her reclaim all the lost momentum. She's currently involved in a storyline with Madcap Moss, and we have to wait to see where WWE is going with the angle.

11 The Good Brothers

AJ Styles Gallows and Anderson the Good Brothers

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows got released by the company in the first set of budget cuts back in 2020. They then went on to compete in the indies, AEW, Impact Wrestling, and NJPW before Triple H offered them a return last year, and they reunited with AJ Styles on October 2022.

Triple H even allowed Karl Anderson to defend the NEVER Openweight title in NJPW while still under contract with WWE. However, Styles' injury has halted any potential plans for The Good Brothers, and we can expect them to reemerge once Styles return.

10 Hit Row

Hit Row WWE Cropped

Hit Row was making quite the strides in NXT and had just made their main roster debuts when WWE chose to release them as part of the budget cuts in late 2021.

While Isaiah "Swerve" Scott signed with AEW, B-Fab, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, and Top Dolla returned to WWE in August 2022 after Triple H's rise as the Chief Content Officer. They've been competing in the tag team division since their return, but reports state that Triple H was disappointed with their performance since their return.

9 Candice LeRae

Candice LeRae returns

Candice LeRae left WWE in May 2022 after she chose not to renew her contract with the company while she was still on maternity leave. However, Triple H's rise in authority opened the doors for Candice LeRae to regain confidence in WWE, and she made her return on September 2022.

WWE has been giving her decent screen time so far, and it appears LeRae will be entering a storyline with Nikki Cross in the coming days. Only time will tell how LeRae's current WWE run will pan out and if she can rise among the ranks.

8 Mia Yim

7 Bronson Reed

Former North American Champion Bronson Reed was also one of the victims of the WWE budget cuts in 2021. However, Triple H saw potential in him and brought him back in December 2022.

Since then, Reed is slowly establishing himself on the main roster and even competed in the US title Elimination Chamber match. He's now squashing his opponents on TV, and the future looks bright for him.

6 Dexter Lumis

Dexter Lumis made his return to WWE in August 2022 after he got released in April 2022. He entered into a storyline with The Miz, in which he stalked the former WWE Champion and even abducted him, and the feud ended in December 2022 after a returning Bronson Reed attacked him.

He's cooled down a bit after the storyline, and there are no reports about any future plans for Lumis at the moment.

5 Karrion Kross & Scarlett

Karrion-Kross-WWE-return

Karrion Kross and Scarlett's release in November 2021 shocked the fans as they expected big things for them on the main roster. Triple H saw potential in both of them and brought them back in August 2022.

Kross had a decent feud with Drew McIntyre and is now involved in a storyline with Rey Mysterio. With Scarlett in his corner, we can expect Kross to make steady progress in the future.

4 Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano's WWE return

Johnny Gargano left WWE in December 2021 after he chose not to renew his contract. However, Triple H brought him back in August 2022, and Gargano revealed his desire to win the mid-card and world titles in the future.

After a brief feud with Austin Theory, Gargano had a good showing in the US title Elimination Chamber match. It's only a matter of time before Johnny Wrestling breaks into one of the title pictures in the coming days.

3 Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman in WWE

Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman's release came as a surprise for the fans as they never expected WWE to make such a big move. The Monster Among Men competed in the indies, Impact Wrestling, and even formed Control Your Narrative with EC3 before Triple H brought him back in September 2022.

He competed against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship and is now in a tag team with Ricochet, and we can expect Strowman to return to his destructive ways in the coming days.

2 Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai WWE SummerSlam

Dakota Kai got released from WWE in April 2022, and she had also stated that she was also not thinking about renewing her contract with WWE before her release. However, things changed after Triple H's ascent, and she made her return to the company at SummerSlam 2022 alongside Bayley and Io Shirai and formed the Damage Control faction.

Since then, Dakota Kai has held the women's tag team titles twice and also competed in the women's WarGames match and is enjoying her return to the company.

1 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt returns at Extreme Rules 2022 Cropped

Former WWE and Universal Champion got shockingly released from WWE as part of the budget cuts back in July 2021. The fans were surprised by WWE's decision and criticized Vince McMahon's decision to let him go.

However, Triple H brought him back after taking over as the Chief Content Officer and had him make his return at Extreme Rules 2022. Since then, Wyatt has shown dramatic character development and introduced a new version of himself at Royal Rumble 2023.

With the addition of the mysterious Uncle Howdy, who's presumably Wyatt's real-life brother Bo Dallas, the storyline is picking up steam, and we can expect great things for Wyatt in the coming days.
