The New York Jets have added another piece on offense, signing wide receiver Terrelle Pryor to a contract, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN. Terms of the deal are not yet known.

Pryor joins a Jets team that's been by far the busiest in the offseason. The team has also signed quarterbacks Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater, running back Isaiah Crowell, cornerbacks Morris Claiborne and Trumaine Johnson, and linebacker Avery Williams.

After a failed stint with the Washington Redskins, Pryor will join a Jets team that consists of talented wideout Robby Anderson (who's been arrested twice and has an uncertain future with the team).

The Jets also traded the sixth pick and three second-rounders to the Indianapolis Colts to move up to the third spot, which surely means they'll draft a quarterback. GM Mike Mike Maccagnan has been aggressive in trying to helping his team reach the playoffs for the first time since 2010, and Pryor should be an excellent piece in the offense.

Pryor's NFL career started with the Oakland Raiders in 2011, and he was briefly quarterback during the 2013 season. Pryor then signed with the Cleveland Browns, and changed to wide receiver for the 2016 campaign.

It turned out to be a massive success, as Pryor caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns. He signed with the Washington Redskins last year, but had a miserable season - finishing with a mere 20 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown.

But Pryor gets the opportunity to reset his value on a Jets team that'll surely look to run the ball more, given their upgrades at quarterback and wide receiver. Pryor is blessed with terrific speed and can stretch the field well.

Signing Pryor is a low-risk, high-reward move for the Jets. If he pans out, they can give him a long-term extension. Otherwise, they'll hold no regrets in giving a 1,000-yard receiver a chance to rediscover his old form.
