Dr. Nanda Kumar Yellapu is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science. He received his PhD in Bioinformatics from Sri Venkateswara University, India and worked as Bioinformatics Scientist at Indian Council of Medical Research-Vector Control Research Center, India for 6 years. Further, he completed his postdoctoral training in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science, KUMC. His primary research involves the analysis of high throughput Omics data, gene network models and molecular modelling studies. He is passionate in the integration of genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics data ingeniously, identifying key molecules associated with the diseases, and characterizing their biological functions to develop predictive and preventive strategies.
