Even royals need a break from heels sometimes. While traveling between engagements in Sydney, Australia yesterday, Meghan Markle was spotted wearing a pair of flats instead of the go-to pumps she was seen wearing at her appearances.
While walking with Prince Harry to their next event, Meghan slipped into a more comfortable choice of footwear. She opted for black pointed-toe flats by Rothy's, while still sporting her white Karen Gee shift dress under a beige Martin Grant trench coat.
She and her husband looked cool and collected, despite having a jam-packed tour schedule, as they both wore sleek sunglasses for the walk.

When she wasn't commuting on foot, Meghan was wearing suede, nude Stuart Weitzman "Legend" pumps, which were an elegant, professional touch to her ivory sleeveless frock. She was seen wearing the heels during a welcoming reception at the Admiralty House in Sydney, hosted by Australia's Governor-General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, and his wife, Lady Cosgrove.
Meghan kept the heels on again for their next appearance at Taronga Zoo, where she and Harry got to meet some of the wildlife up close, including a pair of koalas.
And she wore the pumps again, presumably after changing into flats for travel, when she met well-wishers lining the street at Sydney Opera House.
It seems like Meghan had packed more than one pair of nude pumps for the trip. For the evening reception, she wore a leather style by Tamara Mellon with her green pleated Brandon Maxwell shirt dress.
