While wrestling and society as a whole has changed far too much for the Monday Night War between WWE and WCW to ever be replicated, the arrival of AEW has probably conjured up the next best thing. A true alternative to WWE for those who want it, or even more great wrestling if WWE just isn't enough. Plus, we're getting some great moments and talking points, such as the arrival of Bryan Danielson in AEW, and the rumors of Cody Rhodes returning to WWE.

Pulling A Rick Rude

Some of the most memorable moments from the Monday Night War were those when wrestlers would compete for one company and then show up for the other shortly after. Rick Rude bettered everyone in that regard by appearing on Raw and Nitro on the same night. The OG DX member managed to pull off that feat thanks to the WWE show being taped ahead of time.

Kayla Sparks managed to do something similar last week. Okay, no offense to Sparks, but I'm sure she won't mind us saying she is no Rick Rude, at least not yet. She still managed to appear on TV for two different companies on the same night, though. Sparks' night began on WWE TV when she was the lucky lady chosen by Los Lotharios to receive a kiss from the two of them during their entrance.

SmackDown And Rampage In One Night

Yes, there's no need to worry, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo aren't selecting and kissing female fans against their will. They're plants who WWE pops in the front row to make sure the duo has someone to kiss. In this instance, it was independent wrestler Kayla Sparks. Then, after SmackDown came to an end and made way for Rampage, those who watched both shows had the chance to see Sparks for a second time.

Sparks' Rampage appearance gave her a lot more to do. The indy star had the opportunity to wrestle against Serena Deeb. As was the case with Rude 25 years ago, one of the shows, in this case Rampage, was taped ahead of time, allowing Sparks to effectively be in two places at once. Sparks took to social media on Friday night to thank both WWE and AEW for the opportunities.
