Despite his pushing for an exit from WWE and all of the criticism he's leveled at the company since his departure, Jon Moxley says he would still listen to his former employers if they came knocking.

Moxley had an eight-year stint with WWE, wrestling under the name Dean Ambrose and coming up with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as part of The Shield. He became the first top name to make the switch from WWE to AEW.

While he doesn't reckon he could agree on anything with WWE in the future, he's stopped short of ruling out a return.

“You gotta say never say never, because you don't want to run back what you said years later because you don't know what'll happen," he said in a recent AMA with Bleacher Report. "Just the creation of AEW was so vital to the wrestling industry, and that's part of the reason why I'm so proud to be a part of it. I wouldn't rule out ever doing business with them again, we had a mutually beneficial relationship for a long time.

“If they called I would listen, but I highly doubt we would ever be on the same page. I'd be open to an idea. I don't not like money. I got a kid on the way and gotta put it through college so ya know. I would take a phone call, but I highly doubt anything would materialize.”

How It's Gone Since He Left

Moxley's had a productive stint with AEW. He signed a three-year deal with the young promotion in 2019 but has also been wrestling with NJPW. He became AEW's second World Champion after beating Chris Jericho for the top prize at AEW Revolution last February.

He lost it to Kenny Omega at the Winter is Coming episode of Dynamite in December.
