Professional Background
John M. Sojka, MD, FAAOS is an associate Professor of Orthopaedic surgery. He joined the orthopaedic faculty in 2004 as the first fellowship-trained orthopedic traumatologist in the history of KUMC. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He is a University of Kansas Medical School graduate. He completed his orthopaedic residency training in Omaha Nebraska at the combined programs of the University of Nebraska and Creighton University. He then moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to complete his subspecialty/fellowship training in Orthopaedic trauma with the OrthoIndy Group at Methodist Hospital. From there, he returned to Kansas City to begin his career at the University of Kansas
