John Cena has some people speculating about a possible appearance at day two of WrestleMania 37 tonight.
Cena hasn't been announced for WrestleMania 37, and he previously stated that he won't be able to attend the show. But he teased a possible appearance with this post on his Instagram page:
Interpret that however you wish.
It should be noted that Cena has teased appearances at major WWE events before without actually showing up. He did this for the Oct. 4, 2019 SmackDown on FOX premiere, TLC 2019 and Royal Rumble 2020.
WWE usually brings have several legends and part-timers for WrestleMania. Goldberg, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Triple H are among the frequent WrestleMania participants who were absent from this year's show. Only time will tell if Cena is also among the notable absentees.
Edge is the only part-time wrestler on this year's card. But the Hall of Famer is appearing on a full-time basis, so you can argue that there aren't really any part-time performers for WrestleMania 37.
More than two months ago, Cena stated that he's filming the Peacemaker series on HBO Max in Vancouver, British Columbia. Cena explained that the filming schedule and quarantine guidelines will prevent him from appearing at the show.

It's worth noting that if Cena has appeared at every WrestleMania event since 2003. So barring an appearance tonight, a remarkable streak will be coming to an end.
Although he rarely wrestles these days (only three matches since the start of 2019), Cena has made it clear that he doesn't plan to ever retire from the WWE.
Could We Actually See Cena?
It wouldn't be surprising if Cena appeared in some capacity, perhaps via video message. But it's hard to imagine that we'll see him in person, given the aforementioned filming schedule with Peacemaker. At any rate, we'll find out what happens in just a few hours.
