After filming for Joe Millionaire ended, Carolyn Moore and Kurt Sowers gave their relationship another chance, but unfortunately, things didn't work out. Carolyn seemed to be the one for Kurt right from the season premiere when the two developed a quick and undeniable connection. However, Carolyn encouraged the bachelor to keep his options open, and he soon fell for fellow contestant Amanda Pace. Kurt struggled all season long with deciding which woman he wanted to be with, but in the end, his insecurities around Carolyn's civil relationship with her ex-husband got the best of him, and he went with Amanda.
Immediately after the finale aired, news broke that Kurt and Amanda were no longer together, and both Amanda and Carolyn were ready to share their sides of the story. According to both women, Kurt had a lot of insecurities and growing up to do that made it hard for either of them to be with him. Carolyn quickly came clean about the Instagram DMs Kurt sent her after he and Amanda broke up just a few months after filming ended. According to the contestant, Kurt apologized for not choosing her during the finale and admitted he made a huge mistake by letting her go. While Kurt said he has no regrets about his choice, Carolyn's story strongly contradicts his claims.
Apparently, not only did Kurt reach out to Carolyn on Instagram, but the two even tried to make a relationship work off-camera. The skincare company owner told TMZ that Kurt reached out to her on Instagram and explained that he and Amanda were no longer together; from there, they tried to reconcile their connection from the show. Carolyn and Kurt were curious to explore a relationship off-camera and get to know each other in a different way, but unfortunately, the same issues were coming up. As she explained, "What made me realize that it wasn't gonna work was the fact that the conversation of my ex was still an issue."
Carolyn clarified that this was an issue throughout all of filming, and she hoped that the matter would resolve itself, but Kurt couldn't move past it. The contestant has spoken publicly about Kurt's insecurities, stating that she had to reassure him several times during filming that he had nothing to worry about. Carolyn and her ex-husband share a son together, and it is the contestant's number one priority to do what is best for him, including having a good relationship with his father. However, Kurt had some obvious jealousy issues around the situation. The contestant is no longer in contact with Kurt as the two felt their chemistry is too strong for them to remain friends.
Things certainly aren't going so well for Kurt in terms of love. While he started Joe Millionaire with strong connections with two women, he's ending his experience as a single man. Hopefully, he'll take some advice from Carolyn and Amanda and work on his insecurities so they don't play out in his next relationship. Luckily, both women have wished him nothing but the best for his future career and love endeavors.
