Over the years, a lot of WWE stars have made the journey to AEW to work for the new company. Tony Khan has brought in plenty of stars, from young upcoming wrestlers like Tay Conti to more established names such as Bryan Danielson, which have kept the roster fresh.

However, AEW has also signed some more experienced names who are closer to retirement. People such as Dustin Rhodes, Matt Hardy, and Paul Wight have all opted to have what will seemingly be their final runs outside of WWE. They are unlikely to be the last people to make that move either, as there are plenty of stars on the WWE roster who might want to test themselves before they hang up the boots.
8 Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy is somebody that could easily end up deciding to have a run with AEW before he decides to retire. The Charismatic Enigma is coming towards the end of his career, and considering the fact he has achieved nearly everything in WWE, it might be for the best that he has one last run where there are still many things left for him to accomplish.
The main reason he might look to have one final run with AEW is that Matt Hardy is part of the company. The two men ending their careers together as a tag team would be the most fitting decision that they could make, and that is most likely to take place in AEW.
7 Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is one of the best women's wrestlers in the world, but that doesn't mean that she will want to stay with WWE forever. There have reportedly been some backstage issues with The Queen as of late, and because Ric Flair has now left the company and Andrade is part of AEW, she might end up being tempted to make a move.

It would be interesting to see Flair work on a different roster as she has only been seen as a WWE Superstar so far. She's not worked outside of that bubble yet in her career, so doing it before she retires wouldn't be too surprising.
6 AJ Styles
AJ Styles was heavily rumored to join AEW when the company was first launched. The company wanted him to join, but he decided to stick with WWE. However, that doesn't mean he will never make the move, as there are a lot of his closest friends on the AEW roster.
Seeing him work alongside those people, with whom he has had so many great memories, could be a brilliant way for him to finish his career as a professional wrestler. Being able to work against the likes of Kenny Omega and Adam Cole, or being a member of The Elite is something that could be huge.
5 Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler could be seen as somebody that may never want to leave WWE as he has been such a loyal member of the roster. However, people thought the same about the likes of Paul Wight and Mark Henry, which is why Ziggler moving to AEW could happen.

Ziggler's brother is part of AEW and having them work together would be fantastic to see, and it could be enjoyable for both of them. Ziggler most likely isn't going to climb the card any further in WWE, but in AEW he would likely be placed into a featured spot as he still has so much to give inside of the ring.
4 Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens has done nearly everything in WWE and he has always been a tremendous talent. He is entertaining and has adapted well to the sports entertainment style. However, his booking as of late hasn't been up to scratch and that could lead to him making a move to the competition.
KO reuniting Mount Rushmore would be an unforgettable moment and is something the AEW fanbase would love to see. Owens would be a great star in the company and there's no doubt he would be placed in the main event scene, which is what he deserves.
3 Cesaro
Cesaro has spent a long time working with WWE now, but he hasn't been able to reach the main event level consistently. His ability deserves much more than what he has been given and that is why he might end up switching allegiances to join AEW.
He is the type of wrestler that Tony Khan would love to work with and his style could certainly work within the roster that the company has already put together. Seeing him booked in the right manner would make a lot of fans happy.
2 Ricochet
Ricochet is another wrestler that has been booked poorly and might decide that they want to make a move. His high-flying style and exciting entrance are something that audiences would love to see and there are plenty of excellent wrestlers he could have great matches with on the roster.

People want to see Ricochet do more and while he is still dedicated to WWE right now, that might not last forever. At some stage down the line, he is a talent that could make the move and then make a huge impact.
1 Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest names in wrestling history. Throughout his career, he has worked for the top promotions in North America. Whether it be WCW, ECW, or WWE, Mysterio has appeared for all of them, which is why he might want to add AEW to the list.
Mysterio was part of 2018's All In show which helped to make AEW a company in the first place. He played a big role on that show, and that is something that helped AEW and that could lead to him wanting to make a full-time run with AEW before his career is finished.
