"The City" followed Whitney Port to New York City, where she began working as an image coordinator for the world-renowned brand Diane von Furstenberg. The series only ran for two seasons (via IMDb), but helped increase Port's celebrity and advance her fashion career. In 2009, Port launched her fashion line which she dubbed "Whitney Eve" (via Us Magazine).
Port stopped working on her label in 2014, but has continued to work in the fashion industry. In 2020, Port collaborated with Rent the Runway to launch her 19-piece capsule collection. On her popular podcast, Port discusses fashion, wellness, parenthood, and all of the other facets of her life — she also brings in guest stars, including "The Bachelorette's" Tyler Cameron, to talk all things pop culture. Port is very open with her fans on her Instagram account, which as of publication, has 1.4 million followers and has made a point to be very transparent about her experiences — she even opened up about her tragic miscarriage.
