Like plenty of wrestling promotions, WCW started out fairly small with the amount of female valets running around, and the number ballooned all during the mid-90s and The Monday Night War. Some of the ladies went on to have successful careers in the wrestling business like Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, or the newest WWE Hall Of Famer, Queen Sharmell.

After the fall of WCW, these particular women didn’t actively pursue larger roles in sports or entertainment and headed back to “civilian life.” Unlike now where there are plenty of places to go, there weren’t nearly as many places to work post-WCW.

10 Most Of The Nitro Girls

Nitro Girls in WCW

The popular WCW dance troupe which was akin to The Laker Girls were able to keep the crowd going during commercial breaks on Monday Nitro. During Vince Russo’s regime, the dance troupe were broken up in favor of trying to give them characters, which worked to varying results.

After WCW, while some went to WWE and some tried to be pop stars (Diversity 5), most just went on with their pre-wrestling lives.

9 Midajah

Midajah And Scott Steiner

As the Head Freak, Midajah was beholden to one man, Big Poppa Pump. She helped Steiner’s overall presentation. Looks wise, she was a fit as Torrie, Trish, or Lita but her more exotic look and raven (the color not the wrestler) colored hair helped her stand out.

Had she wanted to, she probably could have landed a job in WWE after the buyout and certainly when Steiner finally arrived at the end of 2002. But the former fitness model was content selling beauty products online rather than enduring the sometimes harsh life of a WWE Superstar.

8 Gorgeous George

After Randy Savage bought the rights to the name, Gorgeous George appeared out of the blue with a muscled up Macho Man. As part of Team Madness, she was slightly more than The Attitude Era eye candy that came with late 90s period. She even had a match with Lil’ Naitch, Charles Robinson.

After her brief run WCW, she didn’t pursue much in wrestling but had a few appearances in ECW and 3PW. She did unfortunately rear her head up when it came time to bury The Macho Man for WWE’s A&E Biography special.

7 Lady Blossom

Lady Blossom

The former Lady Blossom was known for three things - one was coming up with her then-husband Steve Austin’s 'Stone Cold' nickname while making him some tea. The other two were the reason her name was Lady Blossom.

After her run in WCW ended, she retired to be Mrs. Austin, homemaker while Stone Cold became the biggest superstar of all time. When the couple divorced around the time of WrestleMania 15, she headed back to her native England. She has since written an autobiography on her life in wrestling and sharing what her marriage with Stone Cold was like.

6 Kimberly Page

The WWE had their Sunnys, Sables, and Terris, but in WCW, there was only one pin-up beauty, The Diamond Doll, Kimberly Page. Despite being a bombshell that could have given any of the ladies in WWE a run for their money, she never made the journey 'up north' with her then-husband, Diamond Dallas Page.

Instead, she headed to Hollywood but when that career didn’t take off, she instead headed to Utah for a quieter life in the marketing industry.

5 Leia Meow

Leia Meow

Before she was Leia Meow yelling at The Jung Dragons in WCW, Kimona Wanalaya helped ECW during a power outage by keeping the rabid fans’ interests up with a dance in the crow’s nest. The footage was used to advertise countless ECW tapes during the mid-90s. She was also part of a wild chapter in the Tommy Dreamer-Raven-Beulah McGillicutty storyline. Those memorable moments didn’t translate past WCW and the woman behind them, Kristina Laum quietly left the business.

4 Pamela Paulshock

Pamela Paulshock

Discovered via bikini model contests, Pamela Paulshock served as a backstage interviewer for WCW during the declining years. But watching her learn under Mean Gene was actually one of the brighter spots. She is currently a spokesperson for audio company Cerwin Vega and makes appearances for the company across the country. She doesn’t have much of a social media presence, so it’s doubtful she’ll make any wrestling-related appearances.

3 Fifi The Maid

Ric Flair and Fifi

The only reason Wendy Barlow had any sort of resurgence since her brief, very brief run in WCW was because she became the sixth ex-wife of The Nature Boy. She debuted as Fifi The Maid during Flair’s talk show segment, Flair For The Gold and played a small part during Naitch’s feud with Rick Rude. But in the years between her run and eventual marriage to Flair, not a peep was heard from the former WCW valet.

2 Asya

Asya in WCW

Latter-day WCW was sometimes a case of “obviously ripping off of WWE.” The WWE had Chyna, so WCW got their own musclebound Amazon and named her Asya.

She appeared briefly with Flair and later The Revolution, before joining forces with The Demon Dale Torborg both on-screen and off. The couple have been married since 2000 and Asya left the business that same year.

1 April Hunter

April Hunter Flexing

Debuting as one of the nWo girls, April Hunter had a brief run in the company despite having one of the most unique looks a beautiful girl in the 90s and early aughts could have; stacked and racked statuesque girl with long flowing red hair.

The former fitness model left WCW in 2000 and then went to Killer Kowalski to get trained. But aside from a few independent appearances, her adult entertainment exploits kept her from mainstream success in wrestling.
