On the May 16, 2022 episode of WWE Raw, the company's Women's Tag Team Champions, Sasha Banks and Naomi, walked due to creative differences on how the belts were presented. While Sasha Banks resurfaced as Mercedes Mone a few months back, it took until the April 28th taping of IMPACT Wrestling for the former Naomi, now going by her real name of Trinity Fatu, to make her comeback to wrestling. Appearing in Chicago, Fatu came down to the ring to talk about how she wants the IMPACT Knockouts Championship. This led to her being interrupted by the champion herself, Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo's current challenger, Jordynne Grace, marched to the ring to join them. The taping of their interaction will air on IMPACT Wrestling on May 4th. On April 29th, Fatu will even wrestle at another taping, where she'll take on KiLynn King.
Fatu's close friend and former tag partner, Mercedes Mone, was at the show as well. While she wasn't part of the actual taping, she was seen by fans in the crowd showing her support for Fatu. She tweeted out her support as well after, saying, "@TheTrinity_Fatu is here to make an IMPACT!!! She bout to knock out all competition & leave em in the rear view. Get it sis"

Can Trinity Fatu Be The Face Of IMPACT's Knockouts Division?
With Trinity Fatu in IMPACT, the company has a major name for their Knockouts division. The women's division is already strong thanks to the likes of Purrazzo and Grace, but with Mickie James recently having to give up her Knockouts title due to injury, the promotion is in need of a well known name that can draw in casual fans.
Trinity Fatu was a fan favorite as Naomi in WWE thanks to her attention getting entrance and persona, but even though she was a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion, she never got to be the face of the division. Now her time at the top may have finally arrived.
