Netflix's Fistful of Vengeance pits several new cast members against the skilled Wu Assassins characters from the original series. First released on February 17th, 2022, Fistful of Vengeance serves as a direct follow-up to the first season of the 2019 streaming series Wu Assassins, with the eponymous team reuniting in Bangkok to battle supernatural forces once again. Fistful of Vengeance, like its predecessor, is packed with bone-crunching choreography designed to display its cast's full array of martial arts talents in a stunning set of fight sequences.

Wu Assassins' first season was well-received by audiences and critics alike, with many reviews citing the series' abundance of quality martial arts action as a compelling reason to watch Kai Jin grow into a fabled Wu Assassin in the season finale. Naturally, then, Fistful of Vengeance continues Kai Jin's story as he and his allies investigate the mysterious death of their friend Jenny (Li Jun Li), who has been killed off-screen following the end of Wu Assassins season 1. This investigation introduces Kai Jin and company to a host of new powerful enemies pulled from the Wu Assassins canon universe.

Fistful of Vengeance, as with its predecessor Wu Assassins, is primarily built upon the fighting skills of its main core of actors. Naturally, then, the potent combination of martial arts movie legend Iko Uwais and Lewis Tan returns to the fray in Fistful of Vengeance, while Roel Reiné's stylish beat-em-up movie also calls upon the talents of Warrior's Jason Tobin and the stunt work of Ip Man 3's Simon Kuke. As a result, here's every new cast member in Fistful of Vengeance, as well as all the returning characters from Wu Assassins, including where you know each actor from.

Iko Uwais as Kai Jin

The last true living Wu Assassin and holder of the monk amulet, Kai Jin returns as Fistful of Vengeance's primary protagonist. Kai Jin faces his most fearsome enemies to date in the new Wu Assassins movie, being forced to draw on the power of the 1,000 monks that died before him to defeat an ancient evil reawakened. Kai Jin is played by the incomparable Iko Uwais, who is best known for playing Rama in the award-winning The Raid movies. In addition to his acting and stunt work using the Silat martial arts form, Uwais also acts as lead fight choreographer on the vast majority of his films.

Lewis Tan as Lu Xin Lee

A Triad pawn turned staunch ally of Kai Jin; Lu Xin Lee takes on a much larger role in Fistful of Vengeance's narrative. Working alongside Kai Jin, Lu Xin attempts to infiltrate the Bangkok underworld to find more information on Jenny's mysterious killer while also learning formidable techniques from the last living Wu Assassin. Lu Xin is played by Lewis Tan, who has become instantly recognizable to action audiences following his starring role as Cole Young in the Mortal Kombat 2021 reboot.

Jason Tobin as William Pan

One of Fistful of Vengeance's brand-new characters is Dr. William Pan, a biotech billionaire obsessed with the legend of Pangu, the man who shaped the universe. Dr. Pan's quest to become the "Vessel of Order" in Pangu's image and recover the other half of his amulet has been halted by the queen of the Bangkok underworld's minions, forcing an uneasy alliance between the billionaire and Kai Jin's Wu Assassin team. Dr. Pan is played by Jason Tobin, who first rose to prominence playing Earl in The Fast & the Furious franchise installments Tokyo Drift and F9.

Rhatha Phongam as Ku An Qi

Fistful of Vengeance's primary villain is Ku An Qi, Dr. Pan's twin sister, holder of the second amulet half, and queen of the Bangkok underworld. Ku is a formidable opponent against the Wu Assassins, sending wave after wave of assailants against the Wu team until the Interpol agency is forced to intervene. Underworld boss Ku also has the power to absorb other fighters' "Chi" and turn humans into zombie-like thralls, explaining why there are hordes of unflinching fighters ready to die at her command throughout Fistful of Vengeance. Ku An Qi is played by Thai actress, singer, and model Rhatha Phongam, best known to Western audiences for her role as Mai in Only God Forgives.
