Paris Met Tyson at a Wedding
In their first few weeks of dating back in 2006, Paris and Tyson had a memorable beginning. Paris shared the photo above of the pair in their first few weeks of dating when she was 16 years old and Tyson was 17. She revealed that they met the year before at a wedding and again on her 16th birthday.
Although Tyson's age surprised Paris initially - she believed he was around 25 when she first laid eyes on the giant fighter - she explained that she was drawn to him right from the start due to his distinctiveness from other boys. However, she didn't immediately accept his offer to date, and he had to ask her out several times before she finally agreed. This was a significant step for Paris, as Tyson would become her first boyfriend.
Their first date consisted of a trip to the cinema to watch King Kong, and little did Paris know that Tyson had already confided to his parents that he intended to marry her after that outing.
These early years of dating held some of Paris's most cherished memories with the boxer. They enjoyed activities like ice skating and picnics, reveling in the simplicity and fun of their time together. Conversations about their shared future were a common theme in their relationship during this period.

Tyson wanted to move up the wedding by a few months because of the changes to his schedule absent a place in the Olympic games but his wife-to-be starting to question his behavior, writing: "My fiancé clearly didn’t understand the amount of planning and organization that went into a wedding," she wrote in her book, per The Sun, continuing: "I was beginning to realize how incredibly impulsive he was, the sort of person who lived life in the moment and liked to make decisions on the hoof."
She explained, "In Tyson’s world, our big day could be rescheduled on a whim, just like one of his boxing matches. I was having none of it, though, and refused point blank to change the date." After the pair had a heated argument, Paris called off the wedding and broke up with him. "He thought I was joking, and when I dropped the big bombshell, then he realized I was deadly serious."
After spending some time apart, they eventually reconciled. Although Paris had asked her mom, Lynda, to cancel the wedding plans and venue. However, she predicted that the pair would repair the relationship and didn’t follow through with the cancelation. With the original date intact, they exchanged vows on November 21, 2008, in Doncaster, England.
Tyson Fury credits Paris as his biggest mentor
In an interview with Gary Neville’s The Overlap, Fury was asked who is the biggest mentor in his career. Rather than his coaches or father, the heavyweight champion quickly gave credit to his wife. "My biggest mentor in me career is probably me wife because without her, I would have probably went AWOL a long time ago. I've been AWOL anyway plenty of times but I've always had that loving wife relationship, sort of the backbone,” he said, continuing:
“She explains it to some people as I'm the head but she's the neck and without a neck, you've got no head, have you? I think she's the biggest single mentor I've ever had." He went on to describe how Paris stuck by him during his years of struggling with mental illness and substance abuse.
