Since appearing on WWE television, Baron Corbin has become one of the most effective heels in modern wrestling. The Lone Wolf has always made a brilliant impact as someone that fans can hate, with his unique move set and fantastic promo ability, he has quickly become one of the most consistent stars on the roster.

Corbin is a tremendous wrestler, and while he hasn't always been booked as a dominant wrestler, he has always been given significant roles. Corbin has smartly shaken things up at different points as well in order to stay relevant, but certain versions of his character have absolutely been stronger than others.

10 Dog Food Feud

Roman Reigns and King Corbin

When it comes to the worst version of Baron Corbin, there is no doubt that his feud with Roman Reigns tops the list. On paper, pushing Corbin as a top heel against the biggest babyface in the company made sense, but the way that it was booked was a true disaster.

Everything was far too comedic and ridiculous as the focus was heavily pushed on Roman being the 'Big Dog.' This led to literal dog food being involved, which didn't help either of them, with fans hating this comedic mess that simply lasted far too long.

9 Brawling With Bull

Corbin vs Bull Dempsey

When Baron Corbin first started making an impact in NXT, he was pushed as a dominant physical presence. It didn't take long for him to run into someone very similar though, with Bull Dempsey being his first real rival of note.

The two men were pushed as tough competitors who were a real match for each other, but it was Corbin who came out on top. In the ring, the matches were entertaining enough, but there was a real lack of character for Corbin at this point.

8 Mr. Money In The Bank

Corbin MITB

Baron Corbin being Mr. Money In The Bank should have been incredible. A natural heel holding the briefcase is always the best way to do things, and Corbin was exactly that, seemingly being groomed to head to the main event scene.

However, his actual run with the briefcase was a disaster. Corbin will go down in history as one of the worst Money In The Bank holders of all time, especially since he failed to cash it in thanks to John Cena. It led to a very brief feud between them, but it was something people have easily forgotten about.

7 Teaming With Rhyno

Baron Corbin and Rhyno

Baron Corbin's most memorable spell in NXT came when he got the opportunity to work alongside ECW legend, Rhyno. This was a great experience for Corbin and it was clear that he learned a lot from working with him.

They had a nice run together as a pair and put together some fun matches. But this period was all about Corbin developing as a talent, which he certainly did a great job of.

6 Constable Corbin

Constable Corbin

The Constable Corbin gimmick was one that could have been amazing, but it did suffer from dragging on a little bit too long in the end. Baron Corbin was given a position of power on Raw, and of course, it's one that he abused in typical heel fashion.

This saw him gain a lot of heat and really work the crowd, showcasing his talent. He had a large feud with Kurt Angle during this period, which led to him defeating Angle in his retirement match at WrestleMania 35.

5 Feuding With Dean Ambrose

Working a storyline with Dean Ambrose was certainly a great period of time for Baron Corbin. After being eliminated from the Elimination Chamber by Ambrose, the two men were set on a collision course.

They had a storyline involving the Intercontinental Championship, eventually competing at WrestleMania 33 in a pre-show match. Corbin was able to work an incredibly aggressive style against Dean, and their styles really meshed nicely.

4 Feud With Kalisto

Speaking of someone who Baron Corbin worked well with inside the ring. One of his first feuds on the main roster just so happened to be with Kalisto, who was enjoying a push at the time and that led to them colliding against each other.

They had great chemistry, with Corbin's power and strength meshing well with Kalisto's speed and agility. They put together several really good matches, with this being a good feud that established Corbin instantly.

3 United States Champion

bARON cORBIN

Currently, Baron Corbin's only title reign in WWE came when he won the United States Championship. Feuding with AJ Styles and Tye Dillinger, Corbin really stepped up here and had some incredible performances during this period.

He was a really solid heel champion and got to really thrive within his promos during this time as well. While he eventually lost the title to Dolph Ziggler, his 70 days as champion were certainly memorable.

2 Working With Lacey Evans/Fued With Seth Rollins

Seth vs Baron

To this point, Baron Corbin's only real main event storyline was when he was in the Constable Corbin character. Working alongside Lacey Evans, the two of them ended up challenging for the Universal and Raw Women's Championships against the real-life couple of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

While it did go on a little bit too long, Baron Corbin really held his own at this period of time. He didn't feel out of place challenging for WWE's top prize, and that proved that he belonged at that level.

1 King Corbin

King Corbin

Outside of the terrible storyline with Roman Reigns, the King Corbin character has certainly been the best version of Baron to this point. This version of Corbin is just a natural heat magnet, and that is why it's been so effective.

He has made the most of the gimmick, which is something lots of the previous King of the Ring winners have failed to do. While fans absolutely hate it, that is the point which is why it has worked so well.
