While it originally seemed like a smart idea to bring Dan Lambert into AEW, it hasn't quite worked out all too well, and every single feud he has been involved in has been pretty dreadful.

The American Top Team founder is a huge wrestling fan, and with his ties to the UFC, and the famous faces he has brought with him to Tony Khan's promotion, it's clear to see why AEW wanted to feature Lambert in a prominent role, but his time with the company has been really disappointing.

Whether it be his faction's war with the Inner Circle holding the TNT title back, or his feud with Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti playing a role in fans turning on the pair, there just hasn't been a single feud involving the American Top Team founder yet that's really caught fire. They've all been rather disappointing, and have led to whoever is involved losing a lot of momentum in the eyes of fans.

His Feud With The Inner Circle Effectively Killed The Stable's Hype

Once the most popular faction in all of AEW, the Inner Circle's feud with Lambert and the Men of the Year, Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, really contributed to their fall, and the fans growing tired of them.

The feud saw the Inner Circle's hype and allure vanish, and they were no longer considered the cool dominant faction they once were. Chris Jericho was all of a sudden cornier than he had been in years, and his days as a babyface — which had started out so well during his feud with MJF — derailed completely, and it was no surprise that he reverted back to his villainous ways not too long after.

The feud felt like it went on forever, and no one came out of it looking any better than they did going into it. In fact, the rivalry between the two groups played a huge role in the TNT title losing a lot of its prestige, as Sammy Guevara's reign with the belt quickly became one of the worst in AEW history. The title was treated like a prop during the feud and quickly became an afterthought. The story between the two groups was a huge downgrade for the Inner Circle after their red-hot rivalry with the Pinnacle, and it wasn't long before the group disbanded for good.

His Promos With Brandi Rhodes Were Cringe Inducing

One of Lambert's major strengths when it comes to the wrestling business is his ability to cut promos. He has shown time and time again his superb skills with a microphone in his hand and has shown he has no problem saying whatever comes to mind, but that can often lead to his verbal back and forths feeling a little tacky.

Dan Lambert Brandi Rhodes

A prime example of such an event was his exchanges with Brandi Rhodes during the brief rivalry he had with her and her husband Cody. The two really didn't hold back and weren't afraid to get personal, but some of the lines were really tacky. And while it earned pops from the audience in attendance, neither Lambert nor Brandi came out of it looking good.

Cody had really struggled to get fans back on his side towards the end of his AEW run, no matter how hard he tried, but a feud with Lambert was certainly not going to do him any favors.

Sammy Guevara And Tay Conti Have Become Really Unlikeable During Their Feud With Him

While he's not completely to blame for fans turning on Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti, they're actually quite responsible for that themselves, he certainly hasn't helped them.

Guevara was once one of the most popular wrestlers in AEW, with his first TNT title win over Miro feeling like a genuinely feel-good moment, while Conti was one of the most likable women on the roster, but their onscreen alignment and their feud with Lambert has seen fans turn on the pair really quickly.

The promos they're sharing have really shown a completely different side to the couple, and their cringe-worthy attitudes have soured a lot of the audience's opinion on them. Their social media presence has most definitely not helped Guevara or Conti, but it's entirely plausible they'd still have plenty of fans on their side if they were engaged in an exciting rivalry, rather than stuck in a lackluster feud with Lambert and his American Top Team guys. With Paige VanZant signing with AEW and set to play a prominent role in this feud, there's still hope it may improve significantly in the future, but don't get your hopes up.
