WrestleMania 31 was a tremendous show from top to bottom, featuring a lot of great matches and iconic moments. Whether it was Sting making his long-awaited WWE debut, or the first-ever Money in the Bank cash-in to take place atThe Grandest Stage Of Them All, this show had a lot going for it.

The main events were stacked and the undercard really delivered at this event, which brought together a great modern 'Mania. But while fans were amazed by the overall action on the night, which matches have stood the test of time, and when compared to one another, what was actually the best match on the night?
9 Paige & AJ Lee Vs. The Bella Twins
All four of these women are talented, and had they been given a little more time they could've created something much better. There's nothing wrong with this match, but it was very much a standard tag team bout.
Paige was beaten down for large chunks of the match, with AJ Lee able to make the hot tag for the victory. However, the match was just getting going when it was brought to an end all of a sudden, which is a shame.
8 The Undertaker Vs. Bray Wyatt
This match was given around double the time that the women had, but it didn't really capitalize on it. Seeing these characters wrestle in daylight was strange, and the in-ring work was certainly slow in this bout, which stopped it from ever being a great match.

Wyatt was legitimately injured coming into this one, which likely played a part in the quality. They told a nice story, with Bray trying to overcome a darker, more dominant figure, and it served its purpose in giving 'Taker a victory after Brock Lesnar broke his streak the previous year.
7 Tyson Kidd & Cesaro Vs. Los Matadores Vs. The New Day Vs. The Usos (WWE Tag Team Championship Match)
This was the opening pre-show match on the night and it brought together four fantastic teams for an exciting match. There was a lot going on within this match, and the fast-paced made it enjoyable to watch.
While there were times when the rules weren't being followed, it didn't stop it from being a lot of fun. Every team got their chance to thrive and showcase their abilities, and there were a lot of tremendous near falls, and pin attempts being broken up which only added to the excitement.
6 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
This was the standard battle royal match for the show that was booked to get a lot of people on the card. However, it was well-booked and a fun battle royal to watch. This match was really all about Damien Mizdow, who got to shine as the top babyface in the bout.

Ideally, Damien Mizdow should have won this won, but it was obvious to see why Big Show was given that chance. Cesaro had a great moment where they played on the previous year's match, and overall, the match was exciting and well put together.
5 John Cena Vs. Rusev (United States Championship Match)
John Cena and Rusev have similar in-ring styles in that they're both powerhouses, and honestly, fans knew this bout was never going to be a five-star classic. However, this was a strong match that really showcased what Rusev was about, with some great strikes and submission work.
Rusev put Cena through the wringer here and forced him to work hard for his win. Lana's involvement ultimately cost her man in a match that was physical, but not exactly a classic either.
4 Triple H Vs. Sting
There's no doubt that this match was overbooked, but it was a nostalgic trip that fans loved. Sting gave a great account of himself here, and Triple H more than held up his end, with the two men bringing their very best throughout.
They had a fun back and forth match, and while things descended to madness when DX and nWo arrived, it was booked well for what it was. The result is one WWE absolutely got wrong, but the match itself was everything fans had hoped for from Sting's debut with the company.
3 Randy Orton Vs. Seth Rollins
For an undercard match, this bout had a lot of story heading into it with The Authority threatening to crumble. Seth Rollins was the cocky upcoming star wanting to take Randy Orton's spotlight, while the Viper wasn't going to let that happen.

They told an excellent story in this match, with J&J Security being their irritating best at ringside. The match had some great near falls and one of the greatest RKO's of all time, as Orton reversed the Stomp to win the match in style.
2 Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
Ladder matches at WrestleMania are always exciting, and this one was no different. Kicking off the main PPV, the match featured a great array of talent and saw some terrific storytelling and major bumps take place.
Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose had a crazy spot in the match, while R-Truth brought a little comedy. However, it was Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler who stole the show here, with their physical exchanges being excellent. There was the right balance of spots and teases of a winner here, and Bryan picking up the victory was the right call.
1 Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins (WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match)
This was a tremendous main event match to close the show, and it certainly lived up to the billing. Originally a singles match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, the two men went to war, hitting each other with their biggest shots, in what was a bloody brawl between two hard-hitters.
However, that opened the door for an amazing WrestleMania moment, with Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank. It created superb tension, made the match instantly unpredictable, and threw some great near falls into it. This was a 'Mania main event done right.
