The Undertaker has been around in the wrestling business for a long time competing in the main event level, and he was always a consistent part of the product throughout his run in WWE. 9 Back Injury - 1994

The Undertaker sustained a lot of big injuries throughout his career, but the majority of the time he tried to battle through the situation and continue. That wasn't the case in 1994 though as he was dealing with a back problem that led to him taking seven months away from the ring.

It was a situation that had built up for him, and thankfully it didn't become a reoccurring issue or that would have been a potential career-ending situation for him from an early stage.

However, that wasn't something that the Deadman did to create a specific visual, it was put on for added protection while he wrestled with a crushed cheekbone.

At Survivor Series in 1995 Mabel had splashed into him and created the injury, while also damaging his eye socket. It was an extremely serious problem that Undertaker had to battle his way through, with the mask giving him the slightest bit of help.

7 Fractured Ankle - 1998

The Undertaker's Hell in a Cell match against Mankind is a legendary encounter that saw a ton of concern for the Hardcore Legend. Mankind took some insane bumps that night, and there's no doubt he was battered physically because of it, but he's not the only person who got hurt that night.

The roof of the cell was never supposed to break, and when that happened it left Undertaker having to jump down himself to get back to Mankind. However, when he ended up fracturing his ankle upon landing on the ring, adding another injury to this insane match.

6 Torn Muscles - 1999

One of the biggest stints that The Undertaker has on the sidelines came in 1999 and 2000 when he suffered two major muscle injuries that actually had him contemplating retirement. He was dealing with a torn groin at the time, which is a painful situation for anybody to go through.

However, he also tore his pectoral muscle as well, which made the rehabilitation process even more difficult as he was dealing with two different issues at separate areas of his body all at the same time.

5 Ear Injury - 2001

Ear injuries are something nobody wants to sustain due to the high risk that they can bring. However, when The Undertaker competed against Steve Austin at Insurrextion that is what he sustained when the Texas Rattlesnake accidentally caught him with his knee brace.

The support was needed for Austin, but it was bulky and he ended up ripping Undertaker's ear when he jumped on his back while he was propped on the ropes. It caused a serious issue, and it did require surgery to ensure that the problem was resolved.

4 Hip Problem - 2009

Issues with hips is something that a lot of wrestlers suffer from later on in their careers due to the amount of punishment that they take in that area of the body. That was something that The Undertaker dealt with as well, with this being an issue that built up over time throughout the end of his career.

It was severe around 2009, and he had to go and get surgery on the situation after facing Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania to ensure that he could continue competing moving forwards.

3 Burns - 2010

Wrestlers go into each match knowing there's a chance of breaking a bone or dealing with a muscle problem, but something they don't expect is to be burnt. However, that is what The Undertaker suffered at the 2010 Elimination Chamber PPV, with his pyro exploding onto him.

The person in charge of pyro got things majorly wrong with this one, and if it wasn't for the coat Undertaker was wearing at the time this could have been a tragic situation. Instead, he spent his time inside his chamber pod just pouring water on himself to try to cool down as best he could.

2 Broken Orbital Bone - 2010

2010 saw The Undertaker suffer another major injury as his orbital bone ended up being smashed and broken during an encounter he had with Rey Mysterio on an episode of SmackDown. Mysterio looked for a seated senton but overshot the move and landed directly onto Undertaker's face, crushing it in the process.

Despite the injury, and the blood that was pouring out he managed to continue wrestling, and he even tried to reset the issue himself while in the ring. It shows how tough he indeed was, while proving that mistakes can happen even amongst the very best.

1 Concussion - 2014

Concussions are a serious issue in professional wrestling nowadays, but they are something that the likes of The Undertaker probably suffered many times throughout their careers and carried on due to the time. However, after facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 the situation was far more serious for him.

Undertaker doesn't know where he suffered the issue, but he can't remember the majority of that match which ended his WrestleMania streak. He got to the back and ended up having to be taken immediately to the hospital, with Vince McMahon even leaving the show to go with him, highlighting the seriousness of it.
