In Elden Ring, players can find three Imbued Sword Keys to open portals in the Four Belfries that lead to hidden and otherwise inaccessible locations.
In Elden Ring, players will want to find the three Imbued Sword Keys hidden in the game that grant access to new locations. These keys are used exclusively at the Four Belfries to open the portals that can teleport players to otherwise unaccessible locations in the Lands Between. To unlock this location, players will first need to find Caelid and Liurnia of the Lakes, both of which can be accessed as soon as players unlock Torrent, a mount in Elden Ring.
Once players visit the Four Belfries, they can climb the hill to the West of Liurnia of the Lakes to find a treasure chest containing an Imbued Sword Key. Another Imbued Sword Key is hidden on the rooftops of the Raya Lucaria Academy, which is a legacy dungeon in Liurnia of the Lakes. Players will need to make it halfway through the dungeon to reach the key, and if they continue on, they will eventually face the boss Rennala, who holds a Great Rune and Remembrance.
Once players have successfully navigated to the Academy Dungeon's Debate Parlor Site of Grace, they should proceed into a courtyard found up a slope of earth and rubble. From the courtyard, players can move onto a balcony, jump onto the stairs, and follow the stairs until they can navigate onto a nearby rooftop. Players will discover the rooftops are full of items in Elden Ring and loot, including the second Imbued Sword Key laying on a corpse.
Elden Ring: How to Find and Use Imbued Sword Keys
The third and final key is hidden in Sellia, the Town of Sorcery, which is located in Caelid. To find it, players should explore the uppermost right edge of the large crimson lake found in the middle of the region. Players will need to complete a quest to be rewarded with the Imbued Sword Key. Players can solve the quest by unsealing magic doors by lighting up torches scattered around towers in the town. Every three torches that players light will dispel a new barrier and reward various items in Elden Ring, including the third Imbued Sword Key.
To use an Imbued Sword Key, players should approach the towers of the Four Belfries with the portals in front decorated with a blue Imp Statue. Then, players simply need to activate their Imbued Sword Key at their chosen portal to open the gateway and access the new location. All three towers lead to a different location and have clues to indicate where they lead. For example, the first Belfry contains the clue "Precipice of Anticipation." Going through this portal, players will discover they are teleported to the Chapel of Anticipation. The chapel is home to the fight with the tutorial boss in Elden Ring, the Grafted Scion. If players win the rematch with the boss, they will be rewarded with an Ornamental Straight Sword and the Golden Beast Crest Shield.
The second Belfry indicates it leads to "Crumbling Lands." When players go through this portal, they will be transported to Crumbling Farum Azula. This location cannot be accessed through any other means in the game, and players will find some challenging enemies and loot. Finally, the third Belfry offers the clue "Night Sky Unceasing." Going through this gateway will teleport players to Nokron, the Eternal City. Again, players will find themselves in an area inaccessible from the Siofra River in Elden Ring and containing an enemy Knight and additional loot.
