Drew McIntyre has become a cornerstone of WWE Smackdown Live. He has been the top babyface for the brand for the last several months. McIntyre is currently in a feud against the Bloodline alongside Sheamus and the Brawling Brutes. Drew McIntyre Announces Injury Via Twitter
Earlier today, Drew McIntyre took to social media to announce to the WWE Universe that he has sustained an injury and is no longer cleared to compete this Friday. His tweet read as follows:
Unfortunately I am medically disqualified to compete this Friday on Smackdown
I don’t like to miss any shows as everybody knows but I promise I’ll be back soon.

The nature and severity of Drew McIntyre's injury remain unclear at this time. Consequently, the amount of time McIntyre will miss also remains unknown.
During Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that the Usos will still be defending their titles on Smackdown this week. Butch will replace Drew McIntyre this Friday night as he teams with his fellow Brawling Brute, Sheamus, to challenge the Usos for their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.
