Deepika Padukone reminisces about Chennai Express in this hilarious video with Ranveer Singh, watch

It's been ten years since the release of Rohit Shetty's comedy Chennai Express, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Deepika shared a throwback video of herself and husband Ranveer Singh recreating a memorable scene from the film to commemorate the occasion. Deepika shared a throwback video of herself and Ranveer on Instagram on Tuesday. They recreate a popular scene from Chennai Express starring her and Shah Rukh. Ranveer recites Shah Rukh's dialogue.“Ae Meenamma, meri dictionary mein impossible jaisa shabd hi nahi hai.” Deepika then responds with her line, “Achcha? Kahan se khareedi aisi bakwas dictionary?” The video appears to be from the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2015 historical romance Bajirao Mastani, which starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Ranveer's bald head suggests that the video was shot during the filming of Bajirao Mastani, as he played the Maratha king in the film.

Deepika captioned the throwback video with a message for Chennai Express. She stated, “They say that comedy is the most difficult genre for an actor. So when I was offered ‘Chennai Express’, I knew I had a daunting challenge ahead of me. And while it took me a little while to find Meenama, a process that is extremely lonely and often times frightening, I’m grateful that we were able to create a character that is not only synonymous with the movie, but also one that continues to receive an abundance of love till this date…#10YearsOfChennaiExpress.” the caption read.

Among those who appeared in Chennai Express were Nikitin Dheer, Sathyaraj, Kamini Kaushal, Lekh Tandon, Mukesh Tiwari, and Yogi Babu. Priyamani also joined Shah Rukh for a special dance number.
