Colt Cabana is back to podcasting after his trial ended and he—and his close friend CM Punk—were cleared of all charges of defamation brought forward by WWE doctor Chris Amann. In his first podcast back, he talked about the trial through recorded voice messages he made each day. It was an interesting look at how Cabana felt as he was living the trial and one thing that became quite clear was what the stress of the experience was doing to his health.
Never used to having been taken to task in this way and leaving his life in the balance of other people, Cabana's body simply broke down. In the Art of Wrestling podcast he said:
"I was in bad shape last night, real bad shape... I got sweaty and a headache or fever and I woke up bad and I woke up with fever symptoms and a headache, and I talked to my lawyer and he was like 'yeah' and so he said he said, 'I didn't think you were gonna have the reaction you did yesterday when that part of it was dropped. I didn't realize that you understood how important it was." And, so then he was just like 'what's happening is your body is having some kind of reaction to all this is very stressful and so like your body is trying to fight something."

Clearly, Cabana's lawyer had seen things like this before.
... there's a lot going on in my body right now that's like anxiety and stress and just like feeling is that it's never felt before really because right, for the most part I just go and cruise through life. I wrestle I have a podcast and there's like no pressure, no stress. It's been a great life for the past almost 10 years, you know post WWE and everything and so this is like a crazy element and you know maybe it's just the reality I was in the court room and we're like deciding our fate and so the reality is that after this I'm is so close that like the jury can be like you owe $1 million to this doctor and that's really sinking in and that's all I can I think about."
Cabana didn't understand really why he was there in the first place and that he realized that all of this could really change his life in a negative way if things didn't go well. He knew that worrying about the trial and that a jury could simply say he was guilty could mean he'd be in major financial peril.
Fortunately, things worked out and since that trial ended, he's been active on social media joking about things and getting back to his usual routine.
