It's really not up for debate: Claire Danes was the absolute standout of the 2016 Met Gala.

While others went for grungy chic, pirate-themed misfires and flesh-flashing shock, Danes stunning Cinderella-esque Zac Posen gown was the most jaw-dropping look of the night - and one that stayed true to the Gala's "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology" theme for 2016.

A delicate, powder-blue confection, the voluminous gown gave Danes, 37, the look of a Disney princess under the bright lights of the red carpet.

Both fashion critics and those following the event on social media agreed: Not only did Danes and designer Zac Posen perfectly interpret the Gala's themes of futuristic, technology-incorporated fashion but with her incredible, shimmering outfit, she really provided the night's true 'Wow' moment.
