Like many long-running anime series Black Clover has its share of filler. Here’s which episodes viewers can skip without missing anything important.

Black Clover

Here’s a Black Clover filler list featuring every episode of the anime series that viewers can safely skip over without missing any important plotlines. Written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata, Black Clover is a fantasy shonen manga set in a world in which magic is commonplace. It follows the adventures of an orphaned teenager named Asta who was born without any magical powers but nevertheless dreams of becoming the Wizard King of Clover Kingdom. This is a prestigious title only bestowed to those with serious magical prowess.

Black Clover was adapted by Studio Pierrot into an anime series that concluded its four-season run in early 2021. It ranked as Crunchyroll’s most-watched anime series of 2020 and was listed among the streaming service’s Top 100 Anime titles of the 2010s. However, like many anime shows, Black Clover has its share of filler episodes that don’t really add too much to the overall story. On the upside, Black Clover has considerably fewer of these episodes when compared to the average anime series.

According to the website Anime Filler List, only around 10% of Black Clover episodes are considered filler. That means that out of the 170 Black Clover episodes of the show, only 17 are filler episodes. Read on for a complete Black Clover filler list of all the episodes that audiences can skip without really missing anything too important.

Now is the perfect time to rewatch or catch up on Studio Pierrot’s adaptation of Yūki Tabata’s manga series – minus the episodes featured on the Black Clover filler list, perhaps. That’s because Studio Pierrot is currently working on a feature-length anime film based on Black Clover that’s set to be released in 2023. Little is currently known regarding what the plot of the Black Clover movie will focus on, but its recently released teaser trailer hints the movie will be an action-packed anime adventure.

Anime viewers lamenting the end of the Black Clover series shouldn’t be too downhearted, however. The main reason Studio Pierrot stopped making episodes of Black Clover was that the series had caught up to Yūki Tabata’s manga, meaning the studio didn’t have any more content to adapt. Luckily, Tabata is steadily penning more chapters of his manga so it’s likely Black Clover is simply on an extended hiatus and will return once there’s enough adaptable manga material for a new season of the anime series.
