WrestleMania 37 was a success on a number of levels. Yes, there were some weather issues on Night One to contend with, but the show was well received by many, despite a lack of big-name superstar talent on the card and some logistical issues to take care of.

While WWE fans seemed to have enjoyed the show, what did those behind the scenes think? In other words, did the higher-ups in WWE  like the way things panned out?

The good news is, it appears so. @WrestleVotes is reporting that the reaction to the show backstage has been mostly positive. They write: "Now that the weekend is behind us, nearly everyone I’ve spoke to regarding WrestleMania had positive things to say." They add, "Aside from the weather, everything went smooth. The 2 day event was viewed as a success, but plans still remain for 1 single night next year in Dallas."

This year's WrestleMania could have gone off the rails in a few ways. First, there was the entire process of getting back to having so many live fans in attendance for the first time in over a year.

Second, there was a decision by WWE not to bring back names like Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, The Undertaker, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Steve Austin, or try to get The Rock to make an appearance. Instead, they went with their regular roster of wrestlers and let the show be a success or a failure on the backs of talent like Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.

Third, moving their streaming service to Peacock versus the WWE Network for a huge portion of the fan base was a massive concern. While there were initial complaints and the platform is not perfect, things went relatively smooth for such a huge show.

Things Are Looking Up

That WWE was able to produce their biggest show of the year without names they typically call on and while navigating so many changes has been seen as a big deal backstage. WWE has learned that they don't necessarily need to rely on the past to move towards the future.

That Raw then averaged 2.026 million viewers on the first Raw following the show is also seen as a plus.
