AEW has had a handful of wrestlers go down with injury in recent times. Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson and CM Punk are all injured at the moment, but Punk isn’t the only champion who is ailing right now.
TNT Champion Scorpio Sky is also sidelined, having revealed he aggravated a leg injury during his title defense against Dante Martin at Rampage last week.

Sky implied that the injury isn’t very serious but whether he will miss time or not is still unknown. He ws seen grabbing his right leg several times during the match vs. Martin and would subsequently get on Twitter to confirm he was dealing with an injury.
“I went into last night's match with my knee bothering me and unfortunately in the opening minutes I strained a muscle that goes from my knee up through my groin,” he tweeted. “My right leg was useless from then on. Despite that, wrestling in SoCal felt amazing even on one leg. Hopefully, nothing serious and I’ll be back to defend again soon."
According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, the performer will have an MRI soon. Folks did observe that Sky was moving normally during Dynamite this week, which could be an indication of a lack of seriousness but AEW has, so far, failed to comment on the situation.
That is also a good thing as there’s been nothing on the star being stripped of his title.
Sky's Next Opponent
For now, it appears that Wardlow will be Sky’s next opponent.
The reigning champ defeated the former in March during his first reign as champion and, speaking on this week’s Dynamite, Wardlow claimed he was out for revenge and wants to restore prestige to the belt. He also said he’s willing to wait for Sky to heal fully.
