The Rock is one of the most beloved professional wrestlers of all time, but his full-time tenure with the company was shorter than most people remember. However, from the moment he started dipping his toe into Hollywood until now, he has always made returns. While there have been a few quick forgettable ones or video broadcasts, there have also been some memorable moments.

Whether he has returned for a full storyline or just for a one-off match, the People's Champion has always made a point of coming back. The Rock happily tells everyone WWE is his home and the reactions he gets upon these returns showcases that fans tend to agree.

10 Helping Out Family (Royal Rumble, 2015)

Out of all The Rock's returns, his 2015 Royal Rumble appearance was by far the worst. This was a complete disaster and that was down to WWE miscalculation things. The company wanted Roman Reigns to win but knew that fans would hate the idea.

To combat that, they had The Authority outnumber and beat him down, using The Rock to make the save. It was supposed to be a huge shock and a moment to create cheers. However, the fans hated Roman so much that the People's Champion got booed out of the arena as well.

9 A Quick Match (WrestleMania 32)

The Rock has appeared at quite a few WrestleMania's over the past decade, doing a variety of roles. WrestleMania 32 was one of the more forgettable ones as he came out and squashed Erick Rowan before fighting alongside John Cena.

The match was one move, which was done with the idea of making history. While it was a cool segment for the fans, it would have been better if he'd done something a little longer, or with Bray Wyatt who was the obvious star of The Wyatt Family.

8 The Rock Returns...Via Satellite (SmackDown, 1/30/03)

The Rock has made quite a few satellite appearances over the years, but this one was done intentionally and was an official comeback to the show. Here was the start of his No Way Out build with Hulk Hogan and it is where he began pushing the Hollywood gimmick.

He cut a great promo and gained an incredible amount of heat within the segment and the only thing stopping it from being greater was the fact he was on a screen, rather than in the arena. But it did serve a purpose in this case.

7 Inducting His Family Into The Hall Of Fame (WWE Hall Of Fame, 2008)

This was a special moment for The Rock due to how much family means to him. However, because this wasn't particularly about him, it doesn't quite rank as highly in terms of his big returns. Nevertheless, seeing him induct both his father and grandfather into the Hall Of Fame was a cool situation.

The Rock spoke from the heart and gave an excellent speech here to induct them. Plus, it was great for the fans to see him again, with the People's Champion getting an unforgettable response at the ceremony.

6 Celebrating SmackDown (SmackDown, 10/4/19)

SmackDown is an important show for WWE and The Rock has a huge part in that. Having him return for the first episode on Fox was a huge deal for WWE and it led to a great moment. Audiences loved seeing him back and his segment with Becky Lynch was refreshing.

Rather than just putting over a member of the men's division, The Rock made this all about Lynch. He put her over massively while also taking down King Corbin and while it was just a one-shot deal, it was a great opening to the show.

5 Introducing The Baddest Woman On The Planet (WrestleMania 31)

The Rock made a surprise return at WrestleMania 31 to be involved in a segment with one of his greatest rivals, Triple H. He came out to silence The Authority who were cutting a long promo and his appearance led to an excellent pop from the crowd.

However, what made this such a great moment is that he ended up bringing out Ronda Rousey from the crowd. This was her first in-ring appearance for the company, which set the tease for her eventual debut down the line.

4 Legends Kickstart A Show (WrestleMania 30)

The year after, The Rock was back at WrestleMania as a surprise and it led to a fantastic segment. He kicked off the show alongside Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin, which led to some huge pops and great promos, especially as they joked about Hogan's botch here.

Starting an anniversary show with three of the biggest names in the history of the business was a brilliant situation. Audiences loved the moment and it set the tone for what ended up being a brilliant PPV.

3 Aiding The Invasion Angle (Raw, 7/30/01)

Unlike many of The Rock's other returns, this was pre-planned and promoted. The fans were aware he would be returning this time and it was built up throughout the show, which served to grow the anticipation and atmosphere.

It led to an amazing reaction when his music finally hit showcasing he was just as popular with the fans. This return was all about the Invasion angle, with each side doing everything they could to persuade him to join, as he came back and made his choice.

2 Assisting Mick Foley (Raw, 3/1/04)

The Rock n' Sock Connection is a legendary team, with this oddball duo getting over with the fans. When Mick Foley was feuding with Evolution in 2004, it was done to set up a handicap match at WrestleMania 20, with Foley's partner being The Rock.

This was teased by Foley, but people weren't sure if it would happen. Therefore when he did return on Raw to attack the faction, it created one of the greatest pops of The Rock's career and it led to a nice short storyline and a fun 'Mania match for him.

1 Announced As A WrestleMania Host (Raw, 2/14/11)

Out of all of The Rock's returns, this one felt the most special. He had been gone for several years at this point without making an appearance. Therefore to see him back as a genuine surprise to do something meaningful was an awesome moment.

This started a two-year period of consistent appearances for him, as well as several matches. However, it is this particular segment that still stands up the best, with this being one of the loudest pops in the history of wrestling.
