It has often been said that WWE has too many titles. When you're juggling as many weekly shows and Superstars as WWE is though, you arguably need a lot of championships. AEW appears to be on that same path as it expands its roster. Tony Khan picking up Ring of Honor now means all of its titles are sort of under the AEW banner. This past week, a unified ROH Women's Champion was crowned in Dynamite's main event.
Trios Titles Are Coming
Despite AEW already being flooded with titles, The Wrestling Observer reports there are new ones ready to debut any day now. Apparently, belts for a trios tag division have already been made, it's just a question of when they are unveiled as opposed to if.

In AEW's defense, not only is the company's tag division pretty stacked, but there are also a lot of stables, many of which boast more than three members. Likely candidates to become the first-ever Trios Champions include the Blackpool Combat Club, reDragon, and The House of Black. Suffice to say, there will be quite a few great matches should the Trios Titles eventually make it to TV.
205 Live Tag Titles
Just because the titles exist doesn't mean they ever will make it to TV. Last year, former WWE Superstar Jack Gallagher revealed there are Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles collecting dust in a warehouse somewhere. WWE planned on introducing them to 205 Live but seemingly never got round to it. Understandable as combining cruiserweights with tag wrestling sounds like Vince McMahon's worst nightmare.
As for when we can expect to see Trios Championships in AEW, it might still be a while. It seems likely that a tournament to crown the first champions will take place, but starting that now would result in it running in tandem with the two Owen Hart Cups. Unless there will be just a single match to crown the first champions, it seems likely the Trios Titles won't be introduced until after Double or Nothing at the very earliest.
