Tony Khan revealed AEW's weekly shows will be getting a makeover in 2023. Not just anytime in 2023, but the makeover will be in full effect from the very first Dynamite of the year on January 4. While Rampage's look will be overhauled too, the very first look at how different things are going to be was shared on Twitter ahead of the holidays.

A Sneak Peek At The New AEW

AEW's vice president of post-production shared a 15-second clip of what will presumably be the new opening sequence for Dynamite starting on January 4. “We set out to create a new brand identity for AEW Dynamite with a comprehensive set of package elements,” Sullivan tweeted. “The team is thrilled to finally share our new, bold vision, that will help create a new spirit for the show.”

In a follow-up tweet, Sullivan praised the synergy AEW has with Warner Bros. Discovery while also labeling Tony Khan's vision “boundless”. As for the clip itself, whereas Dynamite's intro has featured a collection of highlights from shows ever since it debuted more than three years ago, the new package has them in a staged area looking down the camera, blue and red laser-like lights providing the backdrop.

Who Has Made It In?

That might well mean Dynamite's new set will have a blue and red theme. What's also worth noting are the stars who have made the cut, at least when it comes to the 15 seconds that have been shown so far. Jamie Hayter is in there, complete with the AEW Women's Title, as is her good friend (for now) Britt Baker. Also featured are Saraya, Chris Jericho, and Ricky Starks, among others.

Perhaps the most notable wrestlers included in the short clip are FTR. The current AAA and IWGP Tag Team Champions are often rumored to be unhappy with their lot in AEW with some fans thinking they might well move on soon. Their inclusion in the video above, which has apparently been nine months in the making, suggests the decorated tag team is going nowhere.
