After a flurry of gameplay showcases and details were revealed in a short space of time about AEW Fight Forever, things seem to have gone a little quiet again. Perhaps that's due to CM Punk being on the front cover with the two-time AEW Champion now looking like he is on his way out of the promotion. Excalibur did previously say it would release this fall, but that now seems very unlikely.
Fight Forever On Game Pass
Despite the lack of new info, a fresh report may have revealed some very good news for those of you who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. According to Wrestle Zone, AEW's first video game will launch on the service on day one. That means being able to play it as a part of your subscription fee at no additional cost right away, something that has previously been applied to Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and a number of other games.

That has not been confirmed by Xbox nor AEW, probably because Fight Forever is yet to have been given a release date. If accurate though, it will likely give AEW some big numbers to boast within the game's first few days. More than 25 million people have Game Pass, and it seems likely quite a few of them will give a new wrestling game a try even if they aren't all that familiar with AEW.
Other Platforms
Fight Forever will be launching on other platforms, but you'll likely have to buy a copy to play it elsewhere. PlayStation has made it clear it doesn't intend on launching big games on its revamped PS Plus on day one, and Nintendo doesn't have a Game Pass-style service to do that. PC players might be okay as Fight Forever could also be included on the PC version of Game Pass.
There were reports earlier this year that Fight Forever's development was in rough shape. There have been a number of leaks and official reveals since then suggesting the contrary though, including a first look at what appear to be some pretty unique mini-games. Again, no release date yet, but reports of it being on Game Pass day one hint that there will be news regarding its arrival soon.
